agility helps break tackles

only when you use agility to cut away from a player who is trying to tackle you.

with strength and power SAs that high, it doesnt make sense to run on more than -50, since he can't use bruiser. therefore, more agility is useless.

if the idea is to be a combo back, then you will need more agility... but given base skill VAs being phased out, bruiser (and maybe even slippery) become more important, and indecisive identity problem combo backs will become less worthwhile.

no,

When you cut away from a tackler, it does not show up as a missed tackle. But agility helps shake free from tackles. i know because my elusive HB had back to back 80+ broken tackle seasons..and he has 21 strength right now at level 34. But his agility has always been high. I checked, a HF/Juke was not the reason for the broken tackle.

sorry, but you're wrong. if the defender is close enough to make contact but not be able to tackle you, then it is a broken tackle. how do you think elusives break any tackles at all?

if agility didn't break tackles, then why would the VA slippery exist?

whatever you want to call it, an elusive back can cut away from a player, and the sudden side movement combined with the elusive's broken tackle can cause him to miss. sure, it could help a power back, but power backs don't cut nearly as much, so why would one try to dance around a defender when he can plow right through him.

Running style is about how often a runner uses his vision, not whether he enjoys running over players. Agility can only help whether you see the player 10 yards away or 2 yards away. If a power back sees a tackler, he will try to avoid him if he think he can.

Agility does help break tackles. Not as much as other skills, but it does help. Agility will help with making it harder for a defensive player to make a "quality" tackle and thus easier to break and less likely to fumble.

Also, with some updates for next season, agility will be useful for power backs. For example, it will be much harder to run through crowds and code may be implemented to make RBs look for an opening and run through it instead of trying to plow throught the crowd.
