I'd like to see the passing game improve, but not to the point that a team can line up in the 5 WR Formation and do exactly the same thing that the Strong I slam did in S8, but with the passing game.

It would be nice if for once, balanced teams were able to have some success and weren't forced to try to go to one extreme or the other.

thanks guys...not sure what the differences were with you and 12th, but like I said....you get a dose of reality every once in a while and realize this is just a stupid game. 11 wins are tough to get in this league.... All teams here are battle tested, there are no freebies.

Quite true. But I think they'll be closer to 11 wins than 4. Especially if the passing game is serviceable.

A very good team or two is going to get 4-5 wins or less in the west next year. I'm not saying its gonna be the natty's (as i don't know much about them) but they are nowhere near immune to having a bad season.

Heck, the vikings and lighning combined to go 3-0 against you in season 7, and they went 7-9 and 9-7 respectively last season. I'm not saying the naturals don't have the potential to be a playoff team, but to say that they are anywhere close to guaranteed to get 8+ wins is retarded.

Hell, I went into last season with the Hedgehogs missing the playoffs as a real possibility. We luckboxed into 10-6, but if we want to make the post-season again this year I know damn well we will have to scratch and claw our way to the big show.

Not that it'll necessarily happen, if the natty's start off 0-4 or something like that, please don't gut mid-season, which is what teams tends to do when their expectations are too high.

Off-hand, I'd say the evil monkey's, wolfpack, and maybe the navs are definites to make the playoffs. Then you have perhaps 10 more teams (including yours) who are expected to be highly competitive for a playoff spot. Not to mention the bottom 3 teams all are still very good, and if they did a good job on recruiting fit the S9 sim better, they could be in the race as well.

I know how it is coming up. You've won so much and feel like you are one of the best teams in the game, then people doubt you. Hell at one point my boy CV said the Hedgehogs would get 2 wins last season, lol. But what I'm saying is that there are 13 teams in this league fighting for 5 playoff spots, and its gonna be a war. Hell, two extremely good teams are going to be delegated next season in the west (assuming no guts which isn't likely), and I can guarantee you that at least one of those two teams won't be LV/Parma/Dallas. Hell, if I don't keep my shit together, it could very well be my team.

Moral of the story: Please no one gut mid-season in the west.

Sorry to see Philly go. I thought this ssn you guys had the chance to be a real pain in my ass.

My team got sold but we went 19-1 en route to the AAA title. For the most part we were the best team in AAA#1 last season. With that said, we would be fighting for a playoff spot next season if I would have kept the team. MEM, Wolfpack, and Lincoln have already proven themselves to be top teams and should be solid again next season. I'm sure HHW will be a playoff team. That leaves 4 spots for a lot of teams. We probably would have been in that group for next season.

Here's the problem for the Naturals. We were clearly better than the Naturals last season that means those teams competing for the 4 remaining spots are better than the Naturals as well. That leaves 3 games they should win. 2 games they have a good shot winning, and the others there will probably be underdogs. The Natuals can definitely improve and compete for a playoff spot, but it's a very competitive conference. If I try to list out 10 or 11 games I think the Nats will win, I can't do it right now. If Bort buffs the passing game enough though, I guess it would be more likely.

nobody on the nats said we would get 8 win easy or that we have high expectations

the sim changes every season so don't assume we are the same team, in a good passing year we came up from AA into AAA and won 13 games so don't count us out is all I'm saying

For the record, I call dibs on winning the west next year if the passing game super-roxors.

Since I passed more last season than any other year we've existed, as well as more than any other team in USA Pro, I figured dibs are fair.

Of course, no need to point out there it's just because I'm retarded, and that we're not actually good at passing. All I really cared about was getting my QB a gold passing yards medal imo.

im not trying to insult the nats. have respect for all teams in GLB. i just think you guys are going to struggle. san diego lightning struggled mightily last year despite being far and away the best team in USA AAA1 that season. CCCCs also had a so-so season. its not as easy as you may think nattys
