Well all this talk is about SI slam. What if you take a pass play. You know you can make 1 pass play into 3 different ones. Yes it would be a different play but the same. Same blocking same route running. You just change the TE to left to right or make the HB block. How is the game going to figure this out? This game is all math. There is NO humane logic other then bort codes.

Different formation = different play IMO
We all have no idea when the "to many times" kicks in and I doubt we ever will.
Does it only go into effect when its called in a row?
Does it go by % in the AI?
Does it go by total # of times it was called?
Does it go by quarter?
Does it go by downage?
Will it effect a team up by 14 just trying to run the clock out?
A lot of questions that teams are just going to have to feel out in the extended preseason.

How so? If a defense knows exactly what the offense is going to do, 95% of the time they are going to shut it down.

but its not the defense getting smarter...the defense gets more skilled as more of the same play is run...and thats just a load of BS...

Doesn't smarter kind of make you more skilled?
ex: a LOLBs that is100% sure its a weak side run is going to get to the ball carrier much faster when compared to one who doesn't. That is a HUGE vision boost, acceleration boost(speed/agility) and confidence boost IMO. Certain things like tackling shouldn't get a boost since that is more of a skill I guess.

Do you feel stronger, faster, more agile, like you have more stamina, can you tackle better all because you have an idea that a play COULD be ran? And you can't be 100% certain of a play either. Most good teams that ran Islam last season have different settings for certain situations. I just find it silly that the Dots get super charged for running a certain play more than 10 times...its just ridiculous.

I agreed that certain things shouldn't be affected. Strength, stamina, and tackling are great examples.
However, if I am 100% sure that a play is going to be run, my vision should go through the roof. I should accelerate the second the ball is handed off and explode at the HB.
I am sure that it isn't going to be a "10 time" limit. But if the same play is begin called every single first down, why shouldn't I get a nice boost to things like vision(which should affect acceleration) and something like confidence.
Honestly I think the only way this is going to come into effect is if a team runs the exact same play over and over and over. It's not going to be a "I have no idea why it clicked in, I only ran the ball 7 times" deal. I think the bigger effector is going to be on the stamina/tackling of power backs. No way a HB should take 60 carries and have his last be the same as his first especially when he is breaking a tackle per play.

and see all of those things make sense....but thats just not whats happening...and at the same time...if you 100% feel im going to run an Islam at you and i run a TE post on you, that should possibly be a huge play....but as it turns out...its just like a regular play as if the defense doesnt even care what i ran the last 10 times....i just think this entire thought process is way too premature and not well thought out...and it will just end up being yet another thing for us all to bitch about in season 9.

Honestly it shouldn't be a problem unless you are trying to "cheese" yourself to a victory.
I really don't think teams that run the ball with I-Slam 75% of the time are going to be hurt in anyway. Only teams that rely on the slam on every first and second down along with any 3rd or 4th and short situations.
Basically:
If you aren't using it as an exploit, you won't be effected.

possibly...and i am not even worried about being effected by this...i just think the concept is idiotic.

I completely agree.
If they're going to implement this, then they need to implement something that helps the offense as well.
It's a known fact that if a team runs the same play out of the same formation in the same direction several times, a team is going to cheat up in that direction, and bite on that play, resulting in a play fake completely destroying the defense is possibly resulting in a very large play.
To implement this without having playaction passing is just plain silly. I understand the logic of trying to stop cheesy bullshit, but unless it's tweaked accordingly, there's the possibility of not even being able to run a play 3 or 4 times over a 6-10 play series, like most NFL teams actually do.
