Either you do it and have a shot at winning, or you don't do it and you will probably lose. It sucks, but it's where we are at this state of the game. Not to mention with the pack, the sim is in our favor this season...hell if we're not going to use it to our advantage fully and make a title run if we can.

It's on everybody and to say differently is a massive cop out. Granted, Bort is by far more to blame than anyone, because there is such a no brainer fix for it that it's pathetic that this can even happen. However, the owners and GMs are sooooooooooooooooooo far from saints in all of this it isn't even mildly amusing. Every one of us that have been running more than 70ish % or more suck ass (and that includes me). The higher that % gets, the more blame you/we/me deserve in it.

I can justify it to myself because I've been a run team more ssns than not and I haven't sold out as bad as most, but even I know it's a hollow justification. If the rest of you (minus the Shockers, DDL and any other team I missed) need to keep telling yourself that you have no choice or that it's all Bort's fault, feel free, but you have to know it's a BS cop out as well as I do.

i had to read this 3-4 times before i realized drago wasn't talking about religion.

Anyways you'd think someone named The Strategy Expert would be a little more in tune with Game Theory. Choices for team 1: Use regular gameplan (lower shot at winning), Run upwards of 75% of the time (better shot at winning). Team 2: Use regular gameplan (lower shot at winning), Run upwards of 75% of the time (better shot at winning). You have to assume the other team is going for choice 2, so you have to do the same yourself if you want the best result...unless you have some prior agreement. Is it the most sportsmanlike thing to do? No. Is it the best gameplan if you want to win? Yes. And last I checked, there's no award for sportsmanship in GLB (except the one I made up there^)

So do I understand where you are coming from TSE when you say it is cheap? Yes...of course. You'd have to be an idiot not to see that it is cheap and in no way resembles real football. But I don't think you should be so surprised when you lose for not doing it yourself. In the end, what does that get you besides apparently your own feeling of self-worth and morality?

You can talk from your high-horse all you want, but nobody cares that you didn't run ^80% of the time, and nobody is going to respect you more for not doing it.

That's just my opinion, and it doesn't mean shit. I also am including myself in the blame. To me, this is today's society in a nutshell. Nothing is ever anyone's fault and no one ever has any responsibility in anything that goes wrong.

Personally I take full responsibility for using the gameplan when I don't have to (I don't OC teams here, but in South America).

Call it an exploit, call it cheating. I don't care. We've had a power back for 6 seasons on the team I'm talking about, and the sim swings our way this season, I'm going to take as much of an advantage as possible out of it before massive changes in the sim.

Besides with the game in its current state, you pretty much have to if you want to win.
