SOmething tells me not quite as much energy with the QB throwing as a HB running and breaking tackles 61 times in a game lol.

Every game FDC comes up with the same old "Weīll be passing more" line and myself and others do our utmost to beat it out of him.

However, we do a shitload of scouting and game planning on our forum, with at least 10 of us heavily involved, and the success story that is the Cheeseball defense is not getting itīs due because a lot of people just canīt stop harping on about the strong Islam. Weīre already heavily into our game thread for A Team Of Cheese And Fire. We all enjoy the game a lot and none of like the way the sim has turned out this season.

Iīll be honest here, in order of GLB enjoyment, this is how it ranks to me:

Win in a fun way
Win in a non fun way
Lose

In season 8 if you are shooting for #1, you are risking #3. And letīs face it, the way youīre acting makes me think winning is important to you too. Otherwise, there would be nothing to complain about. Just leave the winning to the teams willing to cheese, and enjoy the fun games with the others.

Black Watch is a prime example we shot for #1 early on and now we are sitting at home because of #3. If I could go back to game 1 now would I run It ? Your dang right I would and Im not going to blast someone who uses it because we all play to win. Do I like it ? No but it is what it is and it should be fixed next season.

There is no need for an excuse. A long time before I arrived in Stockholm, the Meatballs were known as a power running team. As FDC said, why should they change to something else just because the sim has, momentarily, shifted in their favor? Iīll tell you why not (and anyone who has been around this game should know this): because next season, the sim is going to shift completely away from what Stockholm does well (I honestly thought power backs were in for a nerf this season) and we would just be throwing away a chance to win now while staring a bleak future in the face. Instead, we just intensify what the team has always done because it works even better.

And Duckfan, you left the most telling part of that drive out:

6:02 4th & 4 OPP 40 Punt by Stumpy McShankum, 41.5 yds (touchback)

We're not cheesing. Or cheating. Or doing one play over and over and over again. Watch the film and you'll see that. We are running Mal heavy but we've always done that.

Ok, let us look at the numbers then

36 snaps out of Strong I
- 27 Runs
- 9 Passes

39 Snaps out of I
- 32 Runs
- 7 Passes (3 of which came with time running out at the end of either half)

5 Snaps out of Single Back
- I think we can agree that these are neglectable in regards to the discussion

Of those 61 running plays all carries were by Mal Brown. And don't tell me that the majority of those 61 plays was not HB Slam or at most HB Off Tackle Right, I have eyes to see.

So don't tell me you didn't do anything different than during the regular season, at that time you still split snaps between two backs, as most other teams would still be doing in the playoffs, and you were using a far more versatile game plan as far as formations were concerned. And you had a pass to run ratio of roughly 36%, as opposed to 27% against the Pimps.

Now none of these things by itself would be anything unusual, you do tighten things up in the playoffs and play to your strenght. But isn't it a big coincidence that you just happen to start running the few plays and formations ad nauseum that are well known to be nigh unstoppable regardless of what the defense does, or that you suddenly stop spelling your starting RB and give him a number of carries that normally should see him in hospital before the third quarter. Or that your Run to Pass ratio suddenly goes declines by about a third? All at the same time? At least stand by what you are doing instead of trying to paint everyone else as stupid. As you suggested I looked at the numbers and the game, and I have no reason to feel any different than I did before. You might not consider this to be cheese play, but then the culprits always find justification for what they are doing.

Yea we forced a punt but ya'll also ate up 6 minutes of the clock which you know is a huge deal.

I'm not calling ya'll cheesers, I'm just pointing out the BS that the sim is. Oh and pointing out that ya'll didn't abuse Mal last season lol.

ZZ getting his panties in a bunch. Hereīs what I donīt get. If winning doesnīt matter enough to you to go with what works this season, why are you so upset about not winning? Schedule a scrimmage.

My point was that ya'll didn't abuse him all season last year like FDC and JPriet tried to say you did. Last year he never saw 40 carries till the last two games.

Yes. Thatīs when we realised it was practically impossible to stop. Youīd have thought taht certain people responsible for how the sim orks would have caught on around about then, too, and perhaps done something about it. Guess itīs all our fault.

Lol, in our thread for this game today guys were asking FDC to run Mal 80 times just to get the Pimps riled.
