If you all agree, I'll remove it from the playbook.

We're discussing it.

To be clear, most of the team is not online. There is a thread about it, but it is not like there is an answer coming within the next hour.

If you are OK with waiting, I can answer tonight.

I know I'm just an outside observer here, but I'd rather see you guys just keep doing as you have been. Changing things up now is a bit of a slap in the face to the teams you've beat along the way to get there.

But that's just me. You guys can do whatever you want. You're the ones who are playing in the game.

SISlam victories simply feel hollow. From my perspective, it would mean more to win it without that play all together.

I believe Joe's point may be that it comes a round too late. Which is a point I respect. We made our bed to spam it, so now lie in it to the end and live with the asterisk attached to whatever we are able to accomplish.

Couldn't agree with you more.

exactly. we've spammed it, so have many other teams at some point. the * is there to stay unless somehow the winner can show that they haven't spammed it yet.

I have no dog in this fight, but I wouldn't even consider thinking about an agreement like that, unless it also included QB runs. If not, it's a fool's trade.

PS....That's not a rip on Hazy or the way he played us in any way, shape or form. I'm just saying that it would be absolutely stupid for ***O*** to agree to that without having that tossed in as well. I was WAY more concerned about that being run against us than I ever was the SI slam.

Is that overpowered too? We don't run any, but we know the Gamblers do plenty.

I'll take the over for 7 in the MEM/WW game.

We WILL pass when it calls for it. Hell, I love throwing 5WR as much as anyone, I talk about it (and the single back runs) in the team forums pretty regularly.

Perhaps next season it'll be more fun again.

overpowered? no.

but it forces you to make some VERY difficult and risky choices to combat it. It's all the rage in pee-wee. Of course, the father of it is Hazy

seeing as MM and WW had the same run to pass in the first half =/

Thing is ours was just dumb luck that more passes didn't get called (25% on first down, way more on second).

It's not over powered, it's a big advantage he has in this game (note, I did NOT say "unfair" advantage), with no way to stop it consistently, without leaving yourself wide open to any inside run. I wasn't concerned about trying to stop ***O***'s SI slam. I knew it would be a challenge, but one can do a pretty good job against that. On the flip side, if Hazy had went 50% or more QB sweeps, we'd have been totally screw (thanks for not doing so, btw). If you sell out to stop it, it's a worthless play. However, if you don't, it is a hell of a play and if you do you're fucked against runs up the middle.

I'm just saying, I sure wouldn't give away my ace in the hole unless the other team did also. agreeing to this trade would play into Hazy's hand in a huge way (and I'm NOT suggesting that he is trying to rip you guys off at all, just that it was an oversight in the proposition).
