We lost because I couldn't find the offensive G spot as Stockholm's defense took a shat on me.

Nothing more...Nothing less.

Find a way to beat the Meatballs and the title is yours

I'm just gonna say grats. We tried to win a different way oh well. But Jpriet yall did not just start riding mal to death. Numerous times he had over 50 carries this season and he had 597 for the season. For reference the NFL record is 417. Yall have been abusing the powerback thing all season. But yall aren't the only ones so I can't get mad at just yall. I think the pimps did pretty good this year considering how we did it without abusing a powerback.

So tell me what are we (as a community) considering abusing the sim?

It seems that it jumps from:

Strong I Slam
to
I & Strong I Slam
to
A team with more than X amount of carries
to
A RB with more than X amount of carries

Which is it?
Mal has carried the ball well over 30+ times a game in many of his games as a Meatball. No complaining in previous seasons, or even earlier in this season.

Suddenly the playoffs start this year, and that's a cheesy move? It used to be good strategy, especially against teams with a good passing attack, but now it's cheesy. Hnmm...Berlin's a team with a good passing attack. How can we slow it down? By not letting them have the ball and eating up the clock. They actually beat us as that plan as they controlled the clock. It wasn't Mal or the running game's fault they couldn't punch it in to the endzone. The Pimps are another dangerous team offensively. They can run well and pass well. Hmm...what can we do to keep their offense off the field? I got it, run the damn ball...a lot. That's not a strategy new to this game, this season, or these playoffs.

Tell us guys, what is "fair" for a running team that has a stud HB. Because we've been a running team with a stud HB well before Season 8.

How many carries can Mal have a game?
How many times is Stockholm allowed to run the ball?
How many passes does Stockholm have to throw for a balanced attack?
How many times are we allowed to use the Strong I Slam?
How many times are we allowed to use the I Slam?
How many times has Stockholm bitched about their losses, even when other teams felt we got screwed?

I ask, because although we've certainly upped the running attack here in the playoffs, it seems like you guys think it's unfair that we play the game very similar to the way we've played it in the past.

Check last year's playoffs, where apparently Stockholm was "for real" and not cheesy. How many rushes per game did we average, and how many did Mal get, especially in the last 2?

Hell, a few seasons ago, we had a 3 headed running attack, with 2 of those guys in the top 10 in rushing yards, and the third was at about 700-800. We've been a running team for a long time. So is it really a surprise that we ramp up what we do best come playoff time? Really? We've learned these past 8 seasons, that when we get away from what we know how to do, we don't win.

But you all think that it's unfair that the game now favors a strong running game. So Stockholm should abandon the playstyle they've had for the last several seasons (pretty much since Season 1) in favor of not being too good so the rest of you can have fun?

We get blasted for using an exploit play against Berlin, yet they used the same exploit play just as much as we did. Now the argument changes and it's not just the exploit play, but it's too much running total. Ahh, I got it.

Maybe when Magnus was or Joe Johnston is racking up all those sacks we should claim exploit or cheese, and not let those players rush the QB because it's unfair. Lot's of people did bitch, but you didn't hear it from us. We took our sacks, and our guys worked on their builds and we worked on our strategy to fix it as best we could. It wasn't perfect, but we didn't bitch. Maybe when Corey Smith leads the league in passing and TD's. we should claim exploit or cheese and not let Corey throw the ball? Or we just take his best plays out of his playbook because they're too good.

We shouldn't have to apologize that the sim lined up with our best weapons and our playstyle this season. We also shouldn't have to change our team because of it.

Next season, let's just have everyone set their AI's back on basic, and put everyone at 50/50 pass/run, and 50/50 in/out, and we'll all be fair and nice and hold hands and have fun. We wouldn't want someone to do something that creates an unfair advantage for their team.

For the record I'm not saying anything about what ya'll did. Is it BS that the sim allows one person to carry 61 times and still be as effective in the 4th as he was in the 1st? Yes it is. Am I the one talking shit to ya'll for doing it? No. I simply pointed out to JPriet that this wasn't the first time that ya'll rode Mal to death in a game like he was trying to say.

Ya I think the real blame goes to the sim (aka bort), we can't be blamed for doing our best to win.
