What if you have high agility and use "slippery" instead of "bruiser"?

slippery is a +2% bonus (+30% at 15)

bruiser is a +3% bonus (+45% at 15)

plus agility breaks are rolled against defenders agility, which is higher than their strength in most cases.

Thanks

I have AE that is giving me 13% break tackle chance right now. I haven't seen it work well. Will Bruiser add to that percentage or will it be a different roll? I have 5 vet points that I can use for bruiser right now.

I assume (and there is no telling if this is how it actually is or not) that the break tackle % bonus from the equipment and the % from the VA add to each other, then apply to your base chance to break the tackle.

What strength do you have? I haven't noticed Bruiser making that much difference on it's own, especially at lower levels. It only really starts to work when its maxed and combined with YAC Attack and short passes.

For reference, my level 34 WR with 50str, 5 Power Through and 4 points in Bruiser only broke 6 tackles this season. You're not going to notice instant payoffs, it's a long term goal build.

wow his catching is surprisingly low ... i would also think his carrying to be capped before drawing too many conclusions about his breaking tackle abilty

carrying isn't essential, my prime guy doesn't even have it capped and still breaks tackles all over.

Imagine if it were higher.

Strength doesn't belong in a WR's array.

Even playing as a backup to Vando's WR, I have more broken tackles in this season.

Isn't this a horrendous waste of level gains? I know WRs dont have great gains, but what is the incentive to get strength up so high so quick? Wouldn't it make more sense to at least softcap speed/agility/catching? Not knocking your build, I've just never made a strength receiver so I'm curious.

I'm retiring all but 2 of my senior players as my two main teams are going slow build. It'll be a long time before my slow build players become comepitive so for the meantime I'm building a bunch of (non-boosting) experiments (all the aliens) to fiddle about with in the meantime that I can retire with no cost. They have no serious future so not too bothered about maxxing natural gains. So far:

this guy
a FB with only speed/agility
a RB purely vision
a safety purely vision/jumping
pure strength punter
pure strength/block TE

Yh but strength can only help so much if the CB has a high tackling, and wrap-up tactic. so if ur going to have stre high also have better agility than speed.
