He had the same rushing average as him, but yeah I would suspect Csonka would be a shoe-in to win MVP. I mean he was such a gigantic portion of the offense for the #1 ranked team in the West that only lost 1 game.
E.D. could have made a case for it, but one, we didn't win enough games here, and two, I didn't give him the rock enough to get the same type of total production as Csonka to compete with him for votes.
If I would have given him a TON more carries, I believe that we would have won more games and his yards would have been similar to Csonka, but that was not the decision I made.

I made that prediction under the assumption of "fair play", which you violated.
I don't see how you can have one guy carry the ball 500+ times in a single season and then complain that other teams are "unfair" because they give the ball to one back too often. At what point do things suddenly become unrealistic? Playing the game within the rules is playing fair.

There isn't a rule. Csonka won the title officially, you are very correct on your observances.
Csonka won the title in spirit, too. He represented an advantage his team could, and did, rely upon. What more could you ask from a player? Csonka had a far greater impact on the game than E.D. this season, so I'd say he's more than deserving of the rushing title. League MVP, even.
Still, 'grats to your guys for also having nice stats on a season where your team did pretty darned well too.
