I don't think I've ever seen someone call out the other team's amount of players before.

When its a few its not a big deal. When its 20 it is, because it gives an enormous advantage on STs among other things. We need NFL-like roster limits, in my opinion, but that isn't what this thread is for.

Apparently we suck this year but the Bullets had 40 or less when we made our title run. I don't think it makes that much of a difference either way.

It can be done, but it makes things mathematically harder on you, and so you guys should really take pride in your gameplanning during that run because the odds were likely stacked against you.

So now huge rosters are the issue? I suppose if a team beats you with a shotgun 5 wide gameplan, you'd complain about that too?

Hell, I only did the QB run 3 times this game. If I was trying to "exploit" anything, I would have ran him 30 times since the Hammer's defense was made for attacking via the rollouts.

Never seen anyone complain about the number of people on our roster before. Oh well.

As for running the ball 60 times. Yea, we did, but 30 of those runs came after we were up by 8 in the 3rd quarter. It's my typical get ahead, control the clock, wear out the other team game plan. Before that we had run 32 times, passed 15 times, including passing on 1st down 5 times (if we were truly exploiting the run, we'd have just run every time on 1st down). We would have passed more too if we were in passing situations so I don't think a 2:1 ratio is that bad.

Perhaps instead of blaming the loss on stuff like that, you should look at why your team only had 57 yards of offense in the 2nd half. You basically let the Gamblers control the clock and wear your defense down with your offensive failures.

It would have been much easier, btw, to say good game and move on. When my team struggled last year (8-8) and the beginning of this year (0-4), you didn't see me coming on bitching about things. I figured out what was wrong and adapted.

Good game.

So you started using the exploit in the 3rd quarter and you are asking me about our lack of offense in the second half? Look at time of possession.

You averaged a whopping 3.4 yards/carry on your 60 runs, even with our defense getting worn down.

Whatever, good game. I didn't start this thread to argue about it...I started it in hopes that I can actually enjoy watching our next game instead of watching the same equation unfold 60 times.

Congratulations on making the playoffs, and try to understand that this isn't personal.

So issuing a challenge not to ruin the game is crying? You guys are obviously bored.

No no no, you have it all backwards. The game is ALREADY ruined. You're just a fool if you don't take advantage of it in its current state.

Our defense would have eaten that play alive after a couple more times. Zones do have their benefits.

I'm perfectly willing to discuss roster limits, but this thread has nothing to do with them.

no, it's for crying about something else. Way to keep kleenex in business really.

If we keep on like this for a few more pages, you will somehow find yourself looking like the asshole rather than me and it will be beautiful.

But, at this point I don't even care about whining or whatever the trolls like to call it. What I do care about is actually enjoying watching these dotball games again. If I have to shame other teams into not using an exploit, so be it.

pretty doubtful.

Is it fair to say that any area where one team has an advantage over the Hammer is an "exploit?" As in, "the Carolina Hammer are really the best team out there and it's only deficiencies with the game engine that are keeping them back?"

Sorry man, but that's what it sounds like when you complain about every disadvantage. I'm sure you guys have some advantages as well to have gotten all the way to Pro, why not leverage those to their fullest while recognizing that other teams are going to leverage their own advantages? IMO it's not abusing the game to play to your strengths in order to beat your opponent... that's just competition. Crying in advance when you realize you're outmatched doesn't suddenly make your opponent a cheater, nor does it invalidate his subsequent victory. And no one is going to build or compete his team exactly according to your own vision of the "right" way to do it... playing competitors like that would be no different than playing solitaire anyway.

So when I'm ahead, I'm supposed to pass the ball and let plays like this happen?

LOL.

By the way 3.4 times 3 = 10.2. I'll take 3.4 all day.

And lol at your defense eating the QB rollout alive. Copeland's faster than any of your LB's and would have gotten to the edge before they had time to react, it would have been 5-10 a pop all day long.

Good luck against Green Bay. I'm done talking about this now.

This is the same exploit that half of GLB is complaining about and that we stopped using once we realized it wasn't our rushing attack that was so good (its good, but not exceptional), but that it would work against any team that didn't badly outmatch us. I'm bored of watching the same game over and over.

I'm guessing you have no idea what a zone is.
