ok, safe to assume we're talking about da icebox. here's what sticks out to me:

he's averaging 47 plays a game, at level 48 with 45 stamina. DT's use a shit ton of energy per game... weight plays into this, at 303 he's decently heavy and using more energy. but only you know what his end energy is, so if you dont think this is a problem, either you've got your head in the sand or i'm full of shit. hell, he got 62 snaps! in his game against krungthep, and his backup nearly half that.

angle of tackle seems to be a big factor as well, and most DT's (since everyone runs right) are usually trying to make a tackle at 90 degrees... which contributes greatly to the seemingly high propensity for DT's to miss tackles.

i do agree that alot needs to be reworked in the whole RB through the line/tackling/blocking/energyloss/morale dynamic, and bort thinks so as well.

With that build, 3 missed tackles in one game just doesn't sound right. In the meantime, I'd train his vision/confidence up.

And like Rusty is insinuating, he probably could use a bit more stamina too. When facing 100+ strength Cs, your energy takes a pretty good hit over 62 snaps.

First thing that came to mind. If someone's partially blocked then the tackle roll would probably end up being more like an arm tackle. Just a guess.

Edit. His stamina is pretty low. Were the missed tackles in the 4th quarter?

they was 1 in the second 2:01 and the other 2 were in the first series of the 3rd.

of course they all were (Power Through) so maybe it wasnt him at all and just the running backs (PT) kicking in...

i was just curious because i hate missed tackles...

his energy has been fine and i am training V-C, we have our energy change at 88-94 so im suprised he played that much more than the other DT, although the other one is on ST...

What is the problem with missing a few tackles? Even with the powerbacks, the strongest of them all, with the most power through, still sometimes get tackled in the backfield for a loss.

i dont think it helps that in glb, a DT managing to reach and get a pinky on the ball carrier is defined as a missed tackle, when we mostly think of the DT basically wrapping his arms around the guy and getting thrown off... and go why god, did he get thrown violently off of the hb?!?!

Well I get what the guy is saying, if he missed 1or maybe 2 tackles, he probably wouldn't have said anything. But 3 missed tackles with that build, does raise some concern on his part.

Yuri is a beast

In the Garuda game, your misses came mostly late in the game, were all in a crowd, and came from awkward angles. Also, I think Yuri was effectively stopped immediately in each case.

Consider yourself part of a gang tackle effort to take down mighty bowling ball of a powerback.

has nothing to do with his build...the guys build is just fine and I doubt its stamina either...D line's missed tackles this season are usually due in large part to being partially blocked or the RNG'd Power Through.

you dont think 62 snaps at defensive tackle is too many for 44 stamina?

maybe...but only considering his less than stellar 2 in DLG. However I am going to live in doubt that a swift 10+ points in stamina would have changed his 3 missed tackles any. I believe he said they were all power through...which is totally RNG I believe until any facts show otherwise. Stamina is such a joke in this game right now...but maybe thats a good thing considering everything else being broken.
