Not sure. If you build right you can hit a cap about every four levels.

throwing to 60 by level 8
strength to 48 by level 12
speed to 60 by level 20
agility to 48 by 24

I would be training vision the whole time. Have equipment split between throwing and speed.

Or you could build him like an elusive RB if you dont want to throw at all

of course I want to throw, I would just make an RB instead. I was just wondering how good the srambling/rushing/dual-threat qb's were, and if it was worth building one.

I've decided to build a scarmbling qb, and I'm going to try and follow the tips I've got from here, thanks a lot for your comments everybody.

I would still love to continue to have this conversation though, since I think it's a fun and hot topic to talk about Which do you think is going to be best in a few seasons though?? Maybe the wildcat offense has begun to spread around the league, who knows?? personally, I think it's going to be a much bigger demand on

I think the higher you take throwing in the beginning the better he will be since he will just always throw better.

I have decided to make a scrambler too. im going to try a visionless build pretty much. if you ever need a team for your guy I got on the list for a casual team because I dont want to bother trying to find him a team when his build isnt complete yet.

wildcat is already out their. We really need designed roll out plays though for scramblers to be worth it.

just found this guy while looking at possible recruits
68 strength
68 vision
82 throwing
61 speed
54 agility.

I wish I would have been there faster

Scramblers can still beast. The sim doesn't really allow the LB's to see the QB running the ball until he crosses the LOS unless they blitz. So that gives the QB a 10 yard head start almost.

If you're in an offense that features 2 QB's, you can easily make one a passer and one a rusher and dominate whoever you play. The only way to effectively stop rushing QB's is blitzing the shit out of them, but you can't do that when you also have a pure passer to worry about, so you have to pick your poison and that's always deadly. The wildcat sucks, the out of position penalty kills whoever you put there, you just have to make a hella fast QB and a real good throwing QB.

I'd suggest finding a team that'd be willing to make that kind of offense before you create a rusher of any kind, otherwise you'll just be taking away from your throwing skills and make you worse unless that team knows how to use you.

I still haven't decided if I'm going to make a qb that hate dogs (vick), or one who vomit before big games (mcnabb)

I think I'm going to go with a qb who think throwing 1st ,run 2nd. a Mcnabb type of player, who is good a throwing, but in emergency can sramble out and gain a couple of yards.

If he builds him right and has a good OC it can work

hopefully it will match, but alot of things can go wrong, since it's my first qb, the chances are that it's going to go wrong, but atleast I have been around the game for some seasons, so I know how to build a player (like no SA until high levels).

As an owner if I saw a dual threat with this build I would take him in a heart beat.

68 throwing (80ish w/equip)
60 vision
68 strength
68 speed (80ish w/equip)
61 agility
55 confidence

what would you think if you saw something like this in a couple seasons:

48 throwing
50 vision
49 strength
76 speed
69 agility
48 confidence

all natural skills with level 42 equipment to work around where needed
