It was assumed they were going to be fixed and toned down. Guess we were wrong with the assumption, but we are happy with the halfbacks we have at the moment regardless. It just wasn't something we weren't actively looking for. It was discussed, but not something we needed.

We're just surprised that everyone is making such a fuss after it was known that they were overpowered in S7. CoachV went an got Csonka and now it's "nerf this, nerf that."

Lol, obviously. None was talking about nerfing it before you run him 66 times a game.

I actually altered my HB build to a balance one to get a jump on nerfs to power backs. I have done that the last two seasons, figuring that was the next thing taking a huge hit. Just awaiting for when that is happening, I should be good to go when that happens.

But yeah, I am doing some testing myself with my slowbuild power HB and it looks like the main focus is how the SA's are fired off in the sim. Strength has no bearings form the testing I been doing, 115 strength as of now at level 36. No SA's and hardly no broken tackles.

I don't do recruiting for any teams. Besides, that wasn't my point. My point was don't think people want powerbacks fixed just because you have one. People want them fixed because they make the sim lame.

Because if you haven't realized it yet, they think GLB revolves around them.

This is an issue that blankets all leagues and levels.

Not even close, we recognized that power backs were p awesome and then CoachV bettered our team. I don't see the problem, we don't make the rules. Not having a power back in S7 was a disadvantage for us and CoachV fixed it.

Feel free to keep telling yourself that if it helps you sleep at night man. What is going to happen when powerbacks are brought back down to earth, another season of an over hyped team that falls into mediocrity during the playoffs?

That is too far complex of a thought process for him to digest.

I pretty much know the 3 things that actually make a good power HB. Anyway, if you need some infos, pm me.

I pioneered the powerback in GLB, I don't need any info man. If you would of saw what they did in Alpha testing, it would make what we see today a shame.

I agree it is crazy for him to be effective after so many carries. But to the overpowered comment...Larry averaged 5 yards against you guys. Not too crazy considering past seasons.

Not to mention you are notorious for always bragging about your fast LB. Let me ask you....how much Strength/Tackling does Tim Harper have? Because if you tell me something like 60/60 or even 70/70 then it's ridiculous to think you're going to stop him. It's people like you who ruin the game asking for nerfs when your build isn't built to stop another type of build. Instead of improving your build, you ask Bort for help.

How can you say everyone knew it was overpowered last season and then say people are just now asking for nerf's because you got Csonka?

You didn't know power backs were over powered in S7?

a lot of us knew. We faced Csonka last season. We have a 'tackle breaker' (I hesitate to call Street a true power back). No one listened.

Alpha testing?! Sounds like a controversial edge that people are using to cheat! I demand a GLB Forum sticky for blogs and testing info to be released at once!

The problem is there's just not enough SPs to go around. If you build a LB to stop a powerback, you'll get scorched by speed HBs and TEs. If you build a LB to stop speed HBs and TEs, powerbacks will run all over you. My LB is one of the old school "speed/agility" LBs, and I don't mind him missing tackles against elite powerbacks (except for backfield tackles, missing those is bs imo). But, when he does the HB shouldn't be able to immediately run over another LB.

Hmmm, well, a lot of things change from season to season, everyone may miss something, so even I'd ask for your info if you offered them. I was just trying to be nice with you

Yeah my take on it is they need to meet somewhere in the middle. Because I'm sick of Bort just letting players off the hook by using nerfs. At the same time I get where you're coming from. LBs need speed/agility/strength/tackling/vision/stamina/confidence. Power backs just need pretty much strength, speed, and carrying.
