nah, we don't whine. we're a classy group, us hedgehogs. if we felt down every time someone chose against us, we'd be back in USA A6

we've been underdogs our whole career, it's something we come to thrive on. but great job viking on the write-up! gonna be a fun season.

If the rankings are interesting (and cv's are), people are going to discuss/debate them. That's what forums are for. Why should someone NOT point out if they thought their team was ranked too low or high?

I don't know, some things are pretty much guaranteed in dot ball

The sim will change

There will always be someone bitching in the general posting GLB forum about something that is unfair.

Second, to Mr. Sickels - getting your panties in a twist over preseason rankings is a cliche. Let them rank you 15th - if you really are better than that, they'll be eating their words in no time.

Third, to all the people that constantly play the 'well if we would have made the championship game we would have won' game: you didn't. There is no basis for saying by making the championship game you would have automatically won. There are no guarantees in dot football.

BAH!!!!

you are taking my statement out of context ...

Yes .... I feel if we beat spicewood last season ... we would have won the whole thing ....
that being said we lost ... and i was saying i can see how that can be considered "backing" into the league ...

I went on to say ... (you can read by using the scroll arrows on the side of the page)

i guess that gives us alot of room to move up ....

sorry if that seems "Cliche" ... or like "my panties are in a twist"

did not realize i would have to clarify so much .... regretting posting at all

Done constructively and respectfully? Sure.

But sitting here saying '(you) made a mistake' and being insulting to someone's opinion - which is far more commonplace - is uncalled for. Too often the well intended efforts of people to provide content for a league because GLB fails to provide it for us, is met with negativity.
That and debating pre-season rankings is pretty loltastic. I'd speculate nearly half of the teams on any preseason list will be +4 or -4 places from their initial rankings, by season end.

No Problem RJ. You will get USA PRO west Rankings and predictions from me every week. Also, Manning has a committee and we vote on the ENTIRE USA PRO rankings and these are posted after every other game.

Sorry... the context of your statement as I first read it dripped sarcasm. If you were being sincere, you probably should work on your phrasing. The line 'if that's how you look at it' conveys a mocking tone when it follows 'I guess you could say we backed into the league". However, if I took it out of context I do apologize.

Just prove yourself up here. People need to stop whining. The only thing more difficult then doing a top 16 list is doing one at the start of the season.

We got beat by the Pounders in the regular season....beat Spicewood in the regular season..and the Wolfpack got the last spot to move up after losing in the 2nd round

so what's your point?

Agreed on the difficulties of making rankings and honestly don't think anyone from the Hedgehogs whined about the rankings...I didn't know that we weren't allowed to make a post in the thread.

My point was stop whining, which was how Crush's post was construed.

That's pretty good Coach! Spot on for 2/3 of the variable league (not counting 15 and 16 - those were no brainers)

I'm pretty good at guessing the results of a Random and sporadic sim. My 5 year old probably could have thrown darts at a print out of the league and came almost as close.
