I have been telling this group for months now Bort's new algorithm demands a decent amount of Vision, especially if you're looking to sack the QB. It makes your DE recognize a passing play (thus added bonus if you set your DE on Pass Focus) and give you a bonus to getting a decent jump off the line.

Not surprisingly my DE just registered 5 sacks and 2 hurries against an OT that is only 3 levels lower (before I boosted)

I would say you don't have to have extreme # of vision (like don't go crazy and 3:1 cap your vision), but I noticed a significant increase in production when I up vision from 30s into 40s.



As was posted on the other D-line thread, all of those sacks came against his cpu backup...

My level 48 DE has had his vision in the mid 50s for a season and half and it hasn't helped him one bit.
He's 100 agility,80 speed and 65 strength.
I think bort has been dangling vision as a red herring for D lineman since like season two.
The testers also have said Jump the Snap was busted.

as usual you completely miss the sarcasm of the post. i still don't think we need all that much vision. I pumped mine up from 35 to cap at boost and it did nothing. and guess who I have to thank for the wasted sp's? that's right clueless people like you. I want my 6 dollars back asshole.

Thank you, this is the type of comments I am looking for.

My slow built DE pretty much started putting up stats last season after he got vision to soft cap, I was able to see a clear difference.

It was the 3rd attribute I focused on behind Spd/Agil

he just dominated an OT 3 levels higher last game

I will be working JTS VA up as well this season. Right now I have 0 in it, but all VA's this season will be going to JTS

Considering DE's were "broken" for most of GLB's existence, I think it could be busted good as well.

I'll test it with my silly slowbuild lvl 1 DE and I guess we'll find out. Granted that will take a long time to find out. Ha.

from my experience with DEs on the teams i work with, VIS is important for them, as well as DTs.

from what i've seen, softcapped VIS seems mandatory and 2nd capped isn't a bad idea.

with both DEs and DTs, i've noticed that, after they get SPD/AGI/STR taken care of, VIS seems to help them make the leap for increased productivity.

looking for something solid, my Pass Rush scouting bar was 60 with 35 vision. I moved 5 points into vision and my Pass Rush scouting bar jumped to 63, I changed nothing else.

We need a scouting bar project like the o linemen have.
