A 4 point victory is hardly considered a rout even if they scored it with 3:40 remaining. And if they won one championship in the "most contested time for the league," shouldn't they have won other championships when it was less "contested"?
So Marsh never padded his stats?
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_game_log.pl?season=7&player_id=78572Marsh was the beneficiary of two blow outs in game 4 and game 8. Leading the league in receptions for one season in a seven season career can hardly be called dominant... And how relevant is it to lead the league in receptions? If a wide receiver catches 200 screen passes, should he be considered dominant? When was the last time receptions took precedence over receiving yards and touchdowns? You can say that Eggleston "padded" his stats, but unless there is evidence that you were benched in blow out games that doesn't put Marsh at a disadvantage.
One championship with Halifax and zero pertinent individual conference/league trophies does not equal being at the "top of the mountain." Sorry man.
Edit: Marsh did win the TD leader trophy in Season 3. Missed that, but I still stand by my opinion that he didn't "go out on top" especially considering that was four season ago.
