I would assume it does. There isn't anything to suggest it only works on defensive plays.

I have 7 in closing speed and I don't think it works on special teams or when rushing the qb. 3 natural points and 4 from AEQ
tbh, its been pretty underwhelming for me :\

I have level 7 in closing speed and "zone specialist" maxed out in Vet abilities, that mixed with decent speed has worked well. My FS has come from the secondary several times to stop a run even beating the LBs to the play.

It does not activate when the QB has the ball. It has to be a HB, FB, TE or WR.

I've only seen it activate on the HB or ball carriers that are already in front of me. It never seems to work once the balls has been thrown behind you.
