Anyone who looks at Sure Hands and doesn't want to take it because they don't have that many drops doesn't know how the game works. The defender gets the first roll on a play and can either defend it or let it through to the WR. The WR has the second roll and can either drop or catch the ball. The CB then gets a third roll perhaps a chance to jar the ball loose if the WR hasn't secured it quick enough due to carrying, but definitely able to deflect a ball that is dropped. So many drops you have don't show up as a drop because the CB deflected the ball after you dropped it and it was marked as a PD not a drop. So yes, you can catch PDs with Sure Hands, as long as you dropped the ball first.

I like Sure Hands.
It's read to be one of the only modifiers/abilities/etc in the game that gives you an effect aside from the simple, bland stats this way or that way.

Hmmm, good point. Maybe tonight I will go through all my S7 deflected passes and see how many look like they happened after a drop/while bobbling the ball. I have 40 in carrying so, it will be interesting to look it over.

I'd agree with this. i've been watching guys with that VA and it seems to make a difference bigger than just the 3 to 5 drops that register as drops.
