I was flat out embarrassed at how much money I've spent on this game before. Now it just makes me sick. I don't know what sickens me more:

The fact that a Secret Order Of Testers was created in the 1st place

The fact that Tpat and Bort went on and on about no players gained an advantage from testing builds and the D play maker before anyone else (how fucking stupid do they think we are?!)

The "poor pitiful me, nothing I do is right act Bort is pulling

Or, finally, there's no way I can make the player builds, tactics and games viewable to all because everything is over written, when all he has to do is create a snap shot copy immediately after the test scrims and copy it, along with the code that was used, over to another server.

Summary for those that don't want to read the thread:

Testers cannot import live data (can't test against YOUR team)
Testers CAN create players - in theory can re-create their entire team
- in theory can import their own players and make changes to see the outcome. What happens when I change equipment? What happens when I try different tactics? Where should I put my points when I boost?
Testers HAVE shared info from these tests with people in the game
Testers can run these tests and get this info quickly, whereas it takes an entire season or several seasons (or in my case, about 20 scrimmages at 25 flex each) to get this info.
The old test data is wiped out, and the test sim has been changed so they can't just show us the results of everything that has already been done.

Looks like he's found a fairly reasonable (still a little imperfect but that's actually OK by me) solution.

Of course that stupid Duff Man had to suggest it.

Very slight modification to what Pain and PP already posted. All the smart owners are in US Pro.

What concerns me is they thought this was ok in the first place.

I actually like the measures suggested by PP and Duff....but still. Its scary to think what other bs is going on.

I know, but he couldn't have been so foolish as to think ppl would ever be OK with that or believe it wasn't giving certain testers a huge advantage.

I'll tell you what, most of the testers must have been shitting bricks, praying that Bort didn't give out their names. They did absolutely nothing wrong, Bort was the one that did, but can you imagine the shit they'd get?!

Trying to convince people there was no advantage was a big mistake. As PP said, we are not stupid. It took me about 1 minute to think up three or four ways this could be exploited.

Bort's downfall was he trusted them and someone spilled the beans. I truly believe he thought it wouldnt get out.

The testers should be revealed in my opinion. By not doing so, they are setting themselves up for a witchhunt later on. This issue wont die and accusations will be thrown about for the entire season.

Oh, you know damn well that unless ***O***, Wolfpack or GB wins the Gold, it's going to be said that the team that does only did because they were testers, whether it's true or not...And who knows. Bort and the owner of the team. Still, what good will knowing really do, besides piss ppl off at ppl that did nothing wrong

Bort was the one who spilled the beans, at least the general public. I don't think he realized so many people would be upset, which boggles my mind. I guess he trusts those guys, so he figures everyone else would. Even if the testers did have the best intentions, it's impossible for it to not be an advantage for them.

Basically because it was the secrecy that got Bort in trouble to begin with. Throw it all out in the open and it will be dead in a week.

Bort didnt spill the beans. He owned up finally but he didnt leak.
