You could also build a team entirely out of players out of position.

ie, Punter as the QB
CB as the WR.
NT as the Center.

Do It. Then You'll Be Different.

Try all DEs as your D-line, SS as your LBs, and use FS for your CBs

Already been done. Ever heard of the Zheleznovodsk Chubby Wizards? They lasted 3 seasons. They were never overly impressive, either, unfortunately.

I say try a defense based off a 4-1-6 where you use 2 blitzing CBs instead of OLBs. Personally, I think it can be as good against the run and will be better against the pass.

On offense there are a few ideas that could be different

A power rushing QB. Rather than a QB built to run sweeps, you have uber strength/agility C/OGs and a QB with 100+ strength and 68 carrying. You run a lot of QB sneaks out of the I.

No, more like Jim Brown or Earl Campbell taking snaps behind C. However, I was informed by someone else that strength works differently for QB when he is rushing, so 100 strength on QB is not as effective as 100 strength on a FB or HB.
