I agree completely there, but to be honest the vast majority of the players I've found on the market aren't all that great anyway. Also, based on your post above, I don't think we can say we're having our best class yet until they're all signed.

This is one main reason why I haven't recruited at all this off season. I've looked at the available players and outside of a few exceptions I don't see anyone better than what I currently have. For me to recruit someone, I'd have to displace someone on my current roster and outside of my own individual players I'm not going to do that unless there is a huge disparity in talent.

And the few exceptions have 100 teams fighting over them and well, I'm just not the kind to beg and plead for a player anyway. I might shoot them a message of interest but I know most of these types of players are looking for someone who will bow down to them, and that's not really my style.

The ones that I try to avoid especially are the ones with hidden builds that post they have a high level guy in the main PLT forum, not the subforum for their position, and that you notice quietly bump their post if it falls off the first page.

Yeah, but that's my point. 31 teams is practically nothing compared to how much competition you have coming from another league, especially a non pro league. Being here basically makes a team one of the 50 most desirable locations for a recruit, which is good enough to earn the majority of your PMs a read at least.

Cincy's filling a couple small holes and being pretty selective. Whiffed on a few, but that's to be expected.

I kinda agree as having a player who used to play for Halifax.
The depth of the CPL doesn't hold a candle to the US. Although the top end of CPL compares.

Halifax, Spicewood and Dryden are the only teams I've had to compete with from CPL this season.

I think MEM will stay mum as far as who we've landed/have coming our way at the end of the day. We'll let the teams who play us notice it once we play them.
