but by the same measure, an OC can, for example, have the i-formation run up the middle set for 60% of his offensive plays and if the defense has that play defended perfectly, the whole offense is doomed for the entire game. and in "real life" defenses also must react to the offensive formations.
but agreed... it's not a perfect system, and without in game adjustment (which i don't think will ever happen), there are going to be flaws like this.

It really doesn't take as long as everyone makes out to DC. It does take several hours to set up the first AI, but minor tweaks afterwards takes 5-10 minutes tops.

I'm sorry but if I'm at DE in one of my HS games and a team runs up the middle from the I, when they come out in the I what do you think my coach will be yelling? The more you vary your offense and formations, they harder you are to scout. To a defense, the same play in different formations is still a different play

Its not the defense creator, its the fact that there will be an offense creator coming soon (its seem only logical).
