So if I have 100+ speed, 60+agility, soft cap vision, jumping and catching, should I start spending points in strength and carrying or continue to train them while I get another of those skills (vision, jumping and catching) to the 3:1 cap?

This question is fair and sums up the utter frustration of building a reciever. It seems the answer is "you need lots of points, in everything".

lol try building a safety then

Ive built everything *rolls eyes*

just some not as good as others

IMO safety's aren't that hard to build.

no has no effect on pd's will help reduce fumbles though

Wrong. Some PDs happen when the receiver catches the ball, gets hit, and drops the ball before getting full possession. Its recorded as a PD though its closer to a drop, and carrying does help the WR secure the ball completely...

43 lvls of being a WR and that scenario has never happened to me
add to it 41 lvl of being a CB and never had that scenario happen to him either

Never noticing something happen does not equal it never happening...

From your last game: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=368309&pbp_id=14260891

You'll notice (if you pause and go tick-by-tick) that the ball is moving south, then moves east into the WR (because he's catching it) then moves north-east either due to a deflection or because the WR got jacked up. In general, on true deflections the ball tends to fly farther, this ball just kinda falls to the ground, making it very likely your WR was hit while bringing the rock in, resulting in a PD.

So....um.....owned?

um no

I guess we are seeing something different because my wr was not hit, the cb went for the ball and got a pd

Oh and the plotting of the ball in the sim is far from accurate, example -

nice try though

He's right and you're wrong, but if you'd prefer to stay ignorant...

whoa the internet slam of ignorant, you sure told me, lol

once again you can NOT judge what is exactly happening in the play by location of the ball in the sim, the play I posted above clearly proves this, that is unless you want to argue that the WR arms are 4 yards (12 feet) long

Juz, do yourself a favor, keep quiet. Your are making yourself look monumentally silly. Bort has said that carrying helps reduce bobbling which is part of the catching equation. If you get it and the ball gets jarred loose that can be recorded as a PD.

Also, you say you have never seen that scenario happen in the sims, yet two posts later you say the sims are inaccurate and you can't believe what you see in them? How do you get to have it both ways?

Meh, the link you posted could be a 1 handed catch IMO...

Bort saying the replays are not accurate is his way of saying that the graphic interface is kinda crappy and that he doesn't want people bitching about it. It doesn't mean that we should trust nothing that we see...

Believe what you'd like though of course my friend.

It happens, fairly frequently too:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=359052&pbp_id=15341860

The WR in question here has ~62 catching, ~50 jumping, ~41 carrying, and 10 in sure hands.

You carry and catch arguing guys..

There is a case for carry counting toward.. *something*.. Bort had to *fix* RBs catching because they were useless.. and now they are not... without any increase in CATCH.

That should be proof enough.
