Yeah...I really dislike C3.

The results led me to never use C3.
Do you have the results to share?

Nope.
But if you want to do it yourself, set yourself up with two scrimmage games. You'll then have four halves of football to get results. Set your advanced AI so you run nothing but Cover0 for a half, Cover1 for a half, Cover2 for a half, and maybe cover3 for an entire game. Make sure you have enough variations in your schemes so that you can see how your defence looks with 0-4 LBs and 2-7 CBs, and record who covers whom under each scheme.
Anyway, that's what I did, but I'd say things are straightforward enough with the other schemes that the mystery only sits in Cover3....

Well...Engage Eight which is supposedly a great run defense is a cover 3. It would have look a LOT better if they played zone underneath, or blitzed all of the LB's.

Prefer Cover 2.
May use it next season, when I can drop the MLB into the middle zone, and use FS for weak side and SS for strong side.

but if they throw a kink in your plans with a te pass over the middle, it can be bad

Not saying I like it...but supposedly it is effective against the run. With half a yard to go, generally people expect a run.

Whats up with the linebackers lining up on the WRs? How the heck do you set this up in D AI??
I did this a few times on my test runs with the PRE SET plays...that SS is the shadow for the FB...works pretty good if they throw or pitch to the FB and you know they will...but that was way back and I am no expert

thats not a preset, just a hard blitz, but engage 8 will do about the same thing.. hb screen will toast engage 8
ok..see, I am no expert...so a hard blitz will shift that SS over the top on the HB route?(FB gets to the SS first is why it breaks?)..I dig the learning curve, and screen will beat engage 8...I got killed with it in a game..learned that lesson

Yeah normally either a LB or the SS is gonna nail the RB if its a run middle or off tackle, but a pitch or screen can burn it bad.

The cover 3 allows you the ability to bring your SS up into the box because the FS lines up middle field which allows you to play BOTH man and zone coverages. The cover 2 defense only allows you to play man coverage with 8 in the box. But you can attack it on the edges because of the hard drops by the CBs. Cover 3 doesnt work well in GLB, but you can create custom D plays now
or soon atleast!
