MM and Fire game will be a tough win for us. Should go right down the wire either way.

I can also see BSB pulling off the win...that should be another close one.

The other 6 games seem to be pretty much locked to what coachv says.

Anyway, good luck to Columbus tomorrow. Our games have historically been shootouts... tomorrow could be a fun one to watch.

Thanks. Good luck to you guys, too. I've always been a fan of BSB. I was just a bit shocked that Riverboat Gambler left the team. I always enjoyed Jack lining up with him. He was one of the best QBs in the US Pro. Same with Paul Crewe or Pretty Boy. Legends.

Anyway. I'm really looking forward to tomorrows game, but I think BSB are favourites coming into the game. We'll see.

@ coachV

nice writeup. Thanks a lot.

I have to say BSB is a great team and other than last season they have kicked our butts. After all of my scouting we are going to have our hands full. This team is much better than their record!

Actually, when it comes to scouting and gameplanning, we have thus far slept on everyone save SFF and HWW (a lot of good it did there ... we found a hole in their D, too bad they had already discovered it and closed it before we played them LOL)

We are still working out the AI, as our game vs LVF shows. Pretty sure punting with :46 left in a game in which you are trailing is not very good AI LOL. Finding time (or the interest level) to devote to this stuff is just not easy. All of you guys who spent a lot of time as OCs and DCs have my ultimate respect. I have no idea how you do it...

My concern right now is that we might be eliminated from the playoffs before we get our AI straightened out.

The reason we can do it is because we were all going through these "stupid" types of mistakes 2-3 seasons ago. I know for a fact there was a game back then where the Marauders punted late while losing instead of going for it. Finding all that little stuff takes a while before you get "most" of it. Heck, I still find little things every now and then.

Finding things that you had wrong in the AI is like finding a 20 in your pants pocket. Good times

Well, our punt at the end of the LVF game has to rank up there with the best of the "oops, probably should've accounted for that in the AI" moments LOL.

I have finally completed a pretty comprehensive set of Inputs for our Offense (Outputs not done yet, of course) and jeez does it seem convoluted.

I think I prefer Basic Tactics myself...

The basic tactics line made me think of something...just for fun, you know what I would like to see?

The current rosters and builds with the season 4 (or 3 or 5 or whatever) sim code. Just to see how badly the sim was "broken" back then. Would we get 100-95 games? Would we get DE's with 2000 sacks? Or was the sim not really broken and the punch/counterpunch would have us pretty much where we are.

I must say I was pretty relieved when you guys punted there. We had you backed up into a 4th and long with very little time left so I liked our chances, but you guys can strike with a 80 yard touchdown anytime. Thanks for letting us be the the team that showed you the flaw in your AI.

It's so easy to make stupid mistakes in the AI though if you don't really pay attention. I think the advanced AI makes the game a bit more interesting, but it was much easier to game plan and stuff when we only had Basic Tactics to deal with.

Just out of curiosity, how many of you guys are running Basic-only AIs these days? It can't be that much at this level...

Ours isn't really that fancy or complex, but it's definitely not just Basic-only.

My guess is that other than CPU teams, nobody here is. We did last year, and I would venture a guess that we were the only ones who did. This year, we have some Advanced AI setup, but not nearly what we probably should have. We are working to rectify that now...

I think mine get more and more complex every game.

And we aren't sleeping on Columbus. We don't try and sleep on anyone. That would be why we beat y'all.

Good game BSB. Really not the result I was looking for, but you gave us some good game film to look at.

The San Fran Fire has ZERO shot at winning any of their next 3 games.
As a matter of fact, I will go out on a limb and say that the combined opponent's will outscore you guys by more than 2 to 1.

Then you are staring 6-6 right in the face, cupcake. And we'll see how big your mouth is then.
Especially if the Fire and the Bullies are fighting for one of the last playoff spots.

Who holds that tiebreaker again?

Waiting for Dope's clarification of 'ZERO'.
