I hope Bort leaves them the hell alone, myself!!!!! I agree it's screwed up, but it CAN be countered. What I'm sick of is Bort's changes each season, working to counter them and then he just nerfs it anyway. I mean, why the hell do my OTs now have all this agility they no longer need? Why do my DEs have speed & agility they needed to get sacks before, but now is next to useless? Why am I working on agility on my inside OL guys now, when we all know Bort has already beefed up DTs, only to nerf them and will most likely nerf them again in the off season.

There is nothing in any of these current players that can't eventually be countered with builds on the other side of the ball. It sucks getting your players to the point where they can do that, but I think it sucks even worse to work on it all season, only to have that work mean next to nothing next season. What the hell good will having high TKLing do next season when you no longer need it? That's what drives me nuts about Bort's constant player changes. All he does is shift the balance back and forth, over and over, and he hasn't accomplished a damn thing with this approach for at least the past 3-4 seasons. All he's done is create a different problem by "fixing" existing problems. I'd bet the house that when he "fixes" this season's player builds (and, unfortunately, it's a pretty safe bet that he will this off season), he creates new ones and makes the players he "fixed" worthless again.

Of course all of this could be avoided if there was actually some true testing that occurred, but it's beyond painfully obvious that no true, legit or thorough testing ever does. Instead, his paying customers are the lab rats.

Edit: OK, I'm done with my rant now

Plus BP you never answered the wrap up question. I'm not saying you weren't on wrap up, but if you weren't, you probably should be.

re-read my post, I said I was on wrap up.

60+ tackling + wrap up = 9 missed tackles

Really? ok...I'll pump it up to the next cap then...just crazy he'd have such a bad day. Sik...he was on Wrap Up. He has played his whole career on Force Fumble TBH...but when this missed tackle thing broke out this season, I changed him over to Wrap Up to avoid getting punked like that.

Good news I guess is that it's GLB, which means that the current version of the sim will change a few more times this season...maybe the next change will favor my DE

I agree.

The constant tinkering and changing and all this has got to stop. Leave it alone and let us adapt to it. We can't do that when there are massive changes every season.

Tell me where we're going wrong

LBs:
90+ speed/65-70 agility
55 strength/55-60 tackling
Vision 48+

WTH are we supposed to change this time?

I'm confused....my linebackers, secondary and Dline managers all spent $30-35 per player on this game and want to know what's UP?

Did you sacrifice a goat before the game? Make sure the goat is born on a Thursday or else you are totally screwed

DUDE Thursday goats suck. You need a Saturday goad and it needs to have 4 brown spots.

Funny that an owner with 3-4 pro level players himself turns makes this comment. The GLB Army has spoken....I'm sure your army will be happy to accommodate your ever demanding need to stay up with your demands for GLB change with their OWN financial resources....and provide you with 40 more goats next season all with brown spots. The question we'd like to know the answer to is when are you going to really help them over the fence?

Well what is your tackling?

I'm not saying your build is bad, but what happened in the past doesn't matter now. Think of it like this. Those last games, there was no Bruiser VA. That coupled with the fact that Power HBs are the new in-thing and most HBs are working on getting their strength up, and you get broken tackles. My bet is that you haven't worked on tackling in the past 2 seasons or so.

Also were you on wrap up? I think all this arguing is pretty pointless if nobody was on wrap up. Anyways if you guys are having problems with tackling maybe you should put more points into tackling.

tackling...well over 50
strength..over 70
confidence over 40
Stamina over 50
Vision over 50

You would think that's enough to at least make 1 out of 3 tackles. Guess for the rest of our careers all defensive players should pump points into tackle...cuz it needs to be 80+ for you to be able to make a tackle vs a powerback...

I agree. It's pretty ridiculous to expect a defender to be good at something trivial like tackling. That's nowhere near as important to playing defense as focusing development in special abilities like Tunnel Vision or First Step. I mean, since when did defenders ever tackle in football? Average (~50) tackling skill should be good enough to get by in USA Pro imo.

says the guy who DE on KAL has 13 sacks over the past 3 years ...I have more then that this season.

my DE also has double the tackles yours does this season . Shame you pumped your tackling up to 80...to make that one tackle a game when a RB runs right into you.

Head for the hills...toad...

Only double-digit career sacks for a DE who started seeing action way back in Season 1? Not so impressed...
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=242465
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=249733

All of that is irrelevant though... we're all impressed by your amazing sack artist (not really but I hope it makes you feel better to think so), just stop crying when he misses tackles after he's been built to only do one thing. Sorry that your cheese moved, but the game is better for it.
