Right now, since the whole season hasn't played out and we haven't all played each other, yes, USA has more wins vs 6-2 teams than the rest of us.

However, that's only a great use of the tie breaker come the end of the season when we've played each other.

Head to head McLuney beat USA by 17. We just haven't played Danbury or Tulsa yet like they have.

I would say, until we lose to one of these said teams, McLuney should be ranked the best of the 6-2's, we beat USA and beat the 7-1 New Jersey team with only a 1 pt loss to a 5-3 Buncha team.

Now, if Tulsa or Danbury knock us off, then by all means, we were "over rated".

You could choose to rank yourself wherever you want, I am choosing to rank you lower than that. You lost to Buncha and I also see that you struggled against Trinsic a team that Danbury beat 66-0. I am basing it on what I have seen. It's my opinion, we will see who is right in a few days.

I can play that game too...

You lost to USAORG who we beat by 17. We also went very vanilla vs Trinsic and it almost cost us. We knew we had USA and Las Vegas coming up quickly after that game and went a very vanilla AI.

In retrospect it was a bad idea as we only won by a TD, but hey, a W is a W I guess.

Yes, we lost to Buncha...by 1 point and our K (my guy) missed 4 kicks (3 FGs and 1 XP) in that game. Worst game I've seen by him in his career.

Let me ask this, if we were 6-2 and instead our losses were New Jersey and Las Vegas would you feel any different?

I mean we only beat New Jersey by 1 and only lost to Buncha by 1, so that is conceivable, that our 2 losses could be NJ and LV instead.

I'm just saying, I think USA, New Jersey, McLuney, Danbury, and Tulsa are all darn close teams, and those 5 teams will be fighting for 3 home game spots. And, since McLuney plays 3 playoff teams in a row at the end of the season, it will be decided who wins the home games really late in the season.

It's just an opinion, we will see. You want the 3rd spot you can have it for now. It looks like the tougher games for both of us are a few games away and that will determine where the chips fall.

We've already had the toughest part of our schedule, had the top 3 ranked teams in the conference already in USA, New Jersey, and Las Vegas.

From here on out we only play teams that are "ranked" lower than us in the current standings with Tulsa and Danbury being the best teams left.

so you are calling a minimum of 12 wins then?

At this point, if we don't win at least 12 games, I'd be very disappointed yes.

Going into the season I figured 10-6 or 11-5, but now that we've got the toughest part out of the way and the 2 toughest teams we have left are about equal to us in Danbury and Tulsa, I say yes, no reason we shouldn't finish with at least 12 wins.

Even if we lose to both Tulsa and Danbury (possible) we should beat everyone else we play in my opinion and that would still be 12-4. Now, if we split with Tulsa and Danbury then thats 13-3.

ugh.....tough, tough loss today. however, it was close enough to where I don't think we're over-rated anymore

Wow, 5 teams tied at 7-2 right now in the east...going to be interesting...

I don't see Cleveland jumping any of those 7-2 teams but Buncha Nobodies has a chance as they look to be a good team and have a few of those 7-2 teams left on the schedule to try to knock off.

hmm, Tulsa is both the most over rated and under rated team. let me explain.

over rated. most of our wins were gimmies, we lost to USA yet are talked highly of.

under rated. we have done everything so far with the basic AI, we are saving our advanced AI for either the playoffs or maybe if we need it to get home field.

This has been some great discussion. I hope jmog doesn't get too focused on this and forget about constructing our defensive gameplans.
I pleased as punch with where we (McLuney) stand right now. Considering that I had to start this team from scratch last season in this competitive conference, I think we're in great shape. I envisioned next season when we really had a chance to make some noise.

Even though I am not in this heated battle, AI am enjoying watching it from my point of view. Each of the 2 Loss teams are doing a great job, and look for the results week to week to see who is going to make it out of the smoke alive. Good Luck to all of you. Oh...and may the best one lose to me...nah, j/k I look forward to playing each of you in the playoffs.

I stand corrected, I am trying to boost the numbers to make us look better...lol

The teams that need home field the most are Danbury, McLuney, NJ and Tulsa. We all need the $$ to build the stadium. USA doesn't need it at all, the have a completely stocked stadium and have a big $$ advantage.

Danbury was a new team from scratch last year and I got lucky and was able to sign some great guys who have stuck with me.

Anyone wanna take my wager that TPD finishes the season at 10-6, possibly 11-5? Next season I guarantee a playoff berth.
