I think 120 speed is way too much. I have watched a lot of defenses as the OC for my team and it doesn't do that much. Looking at your stats and your play, I think you may have wasted 30 points.

BTW--How well did your speed work here: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=289200&pbp_id=5671152

You have been silenced.

So 120 speed vs. 81 speed. What benefits does that have? Are you in position that much more? Does the 40 speed difference allow a player to tackle better, get in position better, make a play better? In football terms the answer is a definite, no. Maybe in GLB terms it might be more true but that is why Bort has nerfed the speed attribute because in real football terms... speed vs. agility (an example) does not relate to a 1:1 ratio in real life.

If everyone pumped up speed to 100+ that does nothing. But, a 90 speed, with 70 agility is better than a 100 speed 50 agility or 100 speed/60 agility or whatever. But other stats need to be pumped up as well. Not just speed.

Maybe then you could cover a Tight End since 120 speed cannot.

Except that the TE was already double covered, so it looked like the FS was going down to cover the WR... and furthermore, the poster made it pretty obvious that he has the Zone VA, which was only in use for about five or six ticks in that entire play.

Oh you are right!

EXCEPT that he could not catch up to the TE for a consistent 75 yards!

The FS is not covering the WR. If the FS is moving up to cover the WR, his vision is sorely lacking. Watch the ball. The FS is moving up when the ball is in the air. So, the QB may have pump faked, sure, but the TE is already past the MLB and SS... so if the FS was doing his job he would have deep cover on the TE. Which he did not. Call it poor vision or whatever but as the next 70 yards shows... having 100+ speed or whatever it may be while not in Zone, did not help cover or catch the TE on this play.

I will trade in points for speed in exchange for vision, agility and others.

You do realise that the TE in the replay also has 110+ speed and he leads USA AAA #2 in receiving yards.......:

That is all beside the point because if the FS had more vision, agility, but especially more vision, he would have been in place to make the play before the TE broke away. I am curious as to what the FS's vision is but speed definitely did not help on that play.

he doesn't have 121 speed he probably has like 100 with equipment with 15 in zone spec and around 10 in track star

What benefit, overall, does that have? I don't see it as having any more benefit than have less speed.

Again, what does ~120 speed do that ~100 speed does not do?

Catch fast TEs, and now that TEs can be pure catching TEs with no consequence is becoming more and more common? You cite that play as a reason why 120+ speed isn't worthwhile, but that was against probably one of the top 5-10 fastest TEs in all of GLB. I do agree that that FS does probably need more vision, but not having 100+ speed would still allow for plenty of those types of plays to happen IMO. Furthermore, you're not even talking about the difference between 100 and 120 speed, originally you were talking about only getting to about 90 speed. With 90 speed and more vision, even with a decent read on the play you STILL would have probably been beat. And with possession receivers even reaching 75+ speed, I feel like you'll give up a lot of big plays if you aren't fast enough to run down the plays.
