I just got traded to Minneapolis.
I asked the owner what the deal with his team was because it looked like hell.
He answered, and the answer was enough for me to at least give him the season that remains on my guy's contract.
If he turns out to be a dick, as some of you say he is, I won't sign a new deal. That simple.
Having just come from a team in another USA BBB league where the owner and I (as GM) have been fighting a losing battle to turn around a gutted economic wreck of a team that the previous owner had used to give his own players ridiculous salaries I know how important financial stability is, especially if you want to compete - in the USA leagues you need at least level 32 and the equipment your players will be wanting upgrades on doesn't come cheap. We eventually gave up. It wasn't worth the fight.
I GM another team that has been built ground up with financial stability in mind. We've always been competitive and now have a full stadium built, with more cash than we know how to use.
If he's trading away the players he doesn't want to get the money he wants to build a team that can win then I can't see that it's anything anyone can complain about beyond that the team will be shot to hell for the rest of this season. That sucks, but it happens in every division for all sorts of reasons.
