id say vision

Thanks, that's what I am thinking as well. did you notice better play when you brought vision up?

ya I am about to start focusing on it for my RB. I noticed a huge difference on my teams RB when she capped vision started to have cut back and weave though traffic better. Soon she will have it to the second cap

Heres a good example of her vision working. She follows the FB, finds the hole, makes a cut.

here carrying is capped as well

Interesting stuff, thanks for sharing. Having higher vision, where does her agent run the running style slider at?

25 Im pretty sure

well I leveled and went with 2 in quick cut.it's at 6 now.I figure I can just train them all to 40 and have higher quick cut, since I have been neglecting it. and everyone raves about it, for a runner. this better work Because everyone says quick cut is good.

Makes sense. I'm running mine on -50 with only 35 vision. . . I should probably just move it to -100.

I like quick cut, and quick cut likes me.

Lemme know how it works out. Been trying to think of ways to get my power back out of the backfield faster. Worrking on agility currently, may want to put two points into Quick Cut for that initial cut.

The difference between a decent HB and a great HB is SAs.

I really don't know anymore. I use to think that as well. After I pretty much just explained my back up does better than me with no s.a's.....

I have 6-5-5-5-1 in the elusive tree and 2 in cover up. he has

3-3-2-1-1

He has significantly less speed. Less agility, less str. less everything. THE only difference between us is I have 36 vision and 36 carrying, while he has 50 in both.

He has his confidence in the mid 20's mine is 36.

He pretty much out performs my dude all the time, when their are equal games. So I have come to the conclusion it's either his vision or carrying making him better.

Carrying helps a lot imho. I think making moves increases when its higher, sa's and other. Breaking tackles also is improved.

You should softcap it regardless, it'll help against fumbling and give improved production.
Every back should have at least 48 in carrying.

agreed, but it doesn't mean you should add points to it before you have solid attributes.

Some of you people here completely disregard the offensive line your back is playing behind.

This season, our OL is getting overrun a lot more than last season and my running back has been doing worse as well. He is already tackled for a loss on more occasions than the complete previous season so that's why I'm thinking offensive line can be extremely important for the success of your back.

nah trust me I am not disregarding our o-line here. My dude and my back up run behind the same o-line.

Not sure where anyone said the running game was 100% the half back. It's probably 97% the O-Line, 3% the HB. That 3% being making a guy miss or breaking a tackle to turn a 5 yard gain into a 10 yard gain. Or a TFL into a 2 yard gain. Or a 2 yard gain into a 50 yard gain. The HB matters, just not as much as the O-Line. Just ask Clinton Portis lol.

I would cap carrying next. I think it makes your running of the ball more effective...sort of like the more you have, the more comfortable your back is at carrying the ball. It also helps a little with broken tackles, and prevents fumbles. Both of my backs have it at least capped.
