I think weight in combo with Power Thru is the hidden trick with strong power rushers... A 220-pound back is likely given a small advantage over a 200-pound power back. At least that is my experience with similar rushers.
Forum > Position Talk > HB Club > Power Back #1 vs #2 There must be hidden skills Bort doesn't let us know about.

Now... do we thing that's a hidden trick, or do we think it says that on the description. lol.

More confidence, more stamina, more speed.
If only one of these were different, then you'd have a point about their builds being similar. But #2 has about 20 more points in those attributes than #1.
Just a thought.

my rb is by no means a power back; more of a balanced. but to the point of not hitting the holes faster and harder, i've been experiencing similar troubles. his vision is too high i believe, set at 52. he seems to take a brief second before hitting a hole, as if he's scanning. at times he has cut out of an open hole to hit another. i expect if my vision was lowered, without the points going elsewhere, he would hit the holes harder and have more success. what're the thoughts about confidence? think RBs run 'harder' or more aggressively, particularly at the start of a run when choosing the lane, if they have more confidence? you'd think so

I've always thought that confidence could help with the HB hitting the hole faster and taking the ball from the handoff to the line quicker. If it doesn't then I'm sure some day Bort will make it so.

You just sparked a brilliant theory in my head.
Possibly, how agility is linked to speed, and the different proportions make a difference, maybe the same goes for confidence and vision, possibly, if a player has high vision but low confidence, he sees the holes well, but doesn't have the confidence or awareness to choose a hole quickly, so maybe its more of a question of too little confidence rather than too much vision.

Well, if that's right, it may fix the problems of most GLB players
