I would say at this point we can only speculate, unless Bort confirms it.

I'm stuggling to try and figure out how important vision really is and wether or not it is relative to your players overall lvl. The biggest thing I can think of that I feel vision is helping as I train it is my WR's ability to stay the F in bounds! When my vision was really low he would be 10 yards ahead of the defense running for a TD and gradually run out of bounds before hitting pay-dirt.

Currently my Vision is like 20 something, but I've still seen my drops go down since last season because I've trained up my catching to a reasonable lvl now. So far I'm not seeing what all the need for high vision is for a receiver. I would think that Strength and Confidence should take precedence over Vision as far a applying points is concerned, and vision should only be trained when it can be grouped with something else.

Anyone have any similar or contrary thoughts?

I wouldn't value strength over vision. I've never seen any any proof strength is useful.

I too have a hard time understanding the value of vision. I value strength over vision because I have seen my players break tackles from strength, but don't understand the impact of vision. I think strength will become a must have for WRs to counter the current changes, but eventually it will be nerfed back like the speed DEs were so it might not be worth even touching it.

My theory is that vision helps the receiver adjust his route to a pass thrown towards him.

If vision would help the receiver get in a better position to make the catch, then it would help him make the catch.

that is my understanding. My guy just decremented speed by 3 to raise vision by 4. We'll see how it does. With training it's a +5 jump to vision over his last few games which have sucked bawls.

Where is your base Vision at now Packman?

Banana Fingas my WR is currently at LVL 21 w/ 25.6 in vision. My drops are waaaaayy down this season compared to last season with what appeares to be as a result of getting vision over 25 and catching over 30.

While were talking about important attributes for a Speedy WR... What is the 3rd attribute that should be brought to the soft cap... Catching? Jumping? Strength? Vision?

Thoughts...?

Speed/Agility/Catching are the three most important attributes for a WR, anyone who disagrees is in for a debate!

Then after that we move to the battle of opinions, of which mine are to go with:

Stamina(to keep doing what you are doing)

Possession:
Jumping (catching in traffic)
Carrying (catching in traffic)
Vision (Who knows what this does, but it is a major attribute)
Confidence (If you are catching 9-10 balls a game your aren't going to need a lot of this because you should build up the morale with the catches)

Speed:
Vision (Where'd the f*in ball go?)
Jumping (Have to dunk the ball on the goal post after a TD, right?)
Confidence (If you only get 3-4 balls a game, 1 drop could demoralize you and you won't get many chances to build your morale back up)
Carrying (If you are getting separation and have your catching where it needs to be you shouldn't be bobbling the ball enough for this to make a difference)

WRs need at least 10 vision to be competitive.

Bort confirmed this.

I made the mistake of softcapping vision on my lvl.24 WR, I wasn't thinking, not really sure, I think I was planning on being primarily a KR at that point

I don't plan on taking mine past 40. I may train it all the way there too. I will probably soft cap jumping after training it to 40. All other SPs will be Speed, Agility, Catching, FS, QC, RR ..... in that order of importance i will probably wait until; level 36 to start adding the SA's.

What do you guys think?
