Yea, times change and in seasons' past, whenever there was a change, we would hold off on boosting and try to boost to take care of whatever we're lacking. But between the fact that the changes were a bit larger this season than in the past when it comes to many of our players and the fact that slow-build players are not just catching up to, but have passed our season 1/2 players by quite a bit, I'm counting us out.

I agree that slow build players are going to take over this league eventually, but I don't think many true slow builds are here yet. I know that there isn't a single one on GB.

Well, we brought up some slow players this season whose skills/SA's are on par or higher than people they replaced so I assume it's happening elsewhere. We just didn't do a mass-replace of players like it looks like we might have to do in order to compete.

I wouldn't get too down (or maybe you should so I can beat you guys). In the middle of season 4 (after one of Bort's change orgies), GB went on a 2 game skid that was beyond ridiculous, and should have lost one before that, if we hadn't been playing a cup cake. We got spanked by the Shockers and another team in back to back games worse than we'd ever been spanked before. They were like 50 something to 7 or 10 scores. It was flat out ugly. The combined point total scored on us in those 2 games either exceeded or nearly exceeded our total points given up the season before. I somehow reinvented the wheel and won up to pros that season.

I understand what you're going through. In reality, though, the sky really isn't falling and things can be turned around.

LOL....No. It wasn't Who Dey. It was Capital Punishment, the game before the skid. Coming back to beat Who Dey showed me that I had the ship starting to turn around. You guys always had a solid and scary team.

Ok, so I read that wrong. I was thinking after those two losses not before.

Now, our solid and scary team is scattered throughout just about every region of GLB. Although, I was glad OFG offered to give some of our guys a home.

BTW, I was just kidding. I know you never thought that way about Who Dey.

Glad to see ya again, Palmer, but I wish you'd taken your HB to Africa...That's all OFG needed was a deeper/stronger run game. It isn't like they've always dominated on the ground or anything.

Most aren't. Some are but for the majority the once elite DE's are average.
