Not true guys... RJ could never be fired.... he left due to time constraints...

I did get a new OC, and that OC also does DC now... and he's owning it, but our base AI was put in place by RJ... the OC/DC guy has barely tweaked it..

I am sure that the fact that the meatballs had their best player (as bad as he is) nerfed this season had nothing to do with it. No offense black forest but your win has more to do with bort killing the game than your wonderful game planning, IMHO.

So how is this different from other teams struggling with last seasons nerfs/changes/whatever? Did you put the wins down to nerfs then too, or did you just consider the winners better game planners or better player builders? Last season was laughable and more Arena league in terms of offensive production than anything realistic.

Killing the game? Bollocks! Adressing obvious inbalances and one sided builds? That's more like the ticket.

100% agree, and that has nothing to do with our current record this season compared to last seasons.

Sure it doesn't. the fact that shitty teams, who just threw a lot for passing records, now are 2-0 and the powerhouses who were built on balanced or run oriented suck.

I think a balanced offense is better and more reflective than these 90% pass oriented (short/mid) teams winning. it's like watching the Bills with Trent Edwards or the Jets from last season where they can't throw a ball more than 10 yards and have no running game.

Except in this world they are powerhouses and win because the better teams had their running backs legs cut off and the Peyton mannings now can't throw a pass over 10 yards without it getting intercepted.

yeah thats really like the NFl.

I hope you are not referring to E-City as either "shitty", or "pass oriented"? If so you have not really been paying attention. The team always was and always will be build on balance, and not on exploiting obvious flaws in the game engine as some teams all over GLB did last season. And just for the record, half of our running game had "their running backs legs cut off" as well.

And last I checked a team like Korb is still very much build on running the ball and also 2-0. As are the Berlin Ballers (Heather Marie anyone?), London Monarchs, Black Watch. All teams that incidentally were good last season as well. But sure, only teams that were "shitty" last season and went all out passing now are 2-0 :rolleyes

Me thinks someone tries to blame their teams shortcomings this season so far on changes to the game engine rather than on their ability to adapt.

So....you thought it was realistic for HBs to be getting 150 - 200 yards per game consistantly? .....that is like the NFL? How many backs hit 2000 yds per season in the NFL....and that is an average of 125 yds per game.

Well the question is whether they can continue the form into the playoffs.
Personally, I hope not, however it is nice that another team is hitting it's strides, one of my more favourite teams in WEPL.

Why hating on us?

Not hating on you guys, it's just though I would like the Meatballs to have a chance in the playoffs

Well we'll see. I think the shitty teams of past will be shitty again, when the better teams adjust to the stupidity and nerfing.

We'll see who's in the playoffs at the end of the year. A team that finished second last year or a team that was basically one game from being relegated.

I'd be really interested to learn which teams are those "shitty" and "pass oriented" teams you are mentioning. Care to share?

And one seasons finish does hardly mean anything for the next season, due to recruiting, changed tactics, and yes, engine changes. That's how this thing has been working since season 1, and if you truly think that those 500 rushing yards per game last season were anywhere near realistic than I really wonder what kind of football games you are watching in real life.

And if you think DT's averaging 10 sacks a game is realistic because of the mismatched engine changes to shutdown RB's is realistic, I'd like to know which games you watch.

At least in college football, you have 500 yard running games all the time. Even in college you never see 5-10 sack games by a single player ever, let alone a Dt every single game.

Where did anyone say they'd consider this specificly as realistic? But overall this season the sim feels more like "the real thing" than ever before.

I disagree. 500 yard team rushing occurs all the time in college and high school football. 20+ sack games never occur at any level of football.

Well this isn't college football or high school football

This is pro league football
