It's mainly speed. If you want a dark green rushing bar asap, take speed to the 68 cap, then train agl. Str doesnt move any hb bar at all.
If you want to be the fastest to dark green, just keep dumping sp into speed and train agl, you can probably get there before 25.

Rushing bar means nothing. Overall bar is much more important. Look at the rushing averages of those that left links, they are 1.9 , 2.1, 2.3 etc... I just hit 24 today and I haven't even put my 5 SP's into his build as of yet. While my rushing bar isn't quite as high, I have a higher overall bar and I'm averaging almost 6 yards per carry, not to mention almost 15 yards per reception. HOLLA!

Your HB only has 5.7 ypc because you just had 2 cupcake games, the level 25 HB I posted has 2.2 ypc because we only use him for Wildcat plays which went badly last game against a team of levels 30+.

Please. Look at the league I am playing vs. the league you are playing in. I'm a level 23 playing against level 35-40 players in a USA league. Your 7 yards per carry player is playing in a low level Western Europe league against other 22-30 level players. And your players last game, you won 54-10 and rushed for 268 yards on 38 carries, if you look at their depth chart, you played against level 15-22 players. LOL.
Plus my player still has a higher overall bar than him. ;-)
