You can make it worth both ways. If you want to jack up Spd and have less agi, dose up on Change Direction. If you keep them even SDC is good, SDC is good either way honestly.

85 speed CB is all over a 90 speed WR (with comparable agility) all day, every day. Unless the CB is playing close/aggressive with poor vision, the WR will never be able to make up the distance by the time the ball is thrown. Put a 90 speed CB on medium coverage distance and he can cover WRs up to 100 speed easily.

1. There isn't a big difference between 90 and 85
2. They need the agility to get up to that speed
3. How often do you run a fly route? Wrs get open by cutting, not running straight, agility is more important in that respect.

Really fast WRs get open running straight

No they don't. I've been playing since season 1 at cb and have never gotten beat by a wr running straight. My Pro league level 45 cb only has 85 speed and he rarely gets beat, and never in a straight-line run; he only gets beat when a wr out-cuts him or out-jumps him.

after 5-6 seconds unless they're playing against a lowbie CB with 60 speed. 9/10 times if the WR is running a fly route and they're playing a well built CB they're not getting past them before the pass rush is knee deep in their QB.

Essentially, 68 capped, 68 capped, 60 capped (plus a few levels), 2 pieces of EQ in speed, 2 in agility, CE in speed.

+1 if you are slowbuilding. If not, you should still have 61/61/61 base in all three plus your EQ split between agility and speed. All these people saying you need 90 speed even though that leaves you with 60 agility don't know what they are talking about. This isn't season 1 anymore.

Correct.
Finding a good balance of speed/agility is crucial. 80/80 is a waste of agility and 90/60 is not agile enough.
