the guys that own multiple teams have been apart of this since the start. They have paid to build this so you can play it. so if they own 2 teams, so be it. Also this has already been discussed and will not change.

You haven't been playing very long, you'll get your team eventually. The people with multiple teams have been here since near the beginning. I have also seen people complain they didn't get a team on the last team release but didn't show up and put in the time to get themselves a team. The people that got their teams were the ones that were the full night as they were being released. They weren't the ones that thought they'd be available on the next day, so tried then.

I don't support the theory that someone should have to give up their team because I don't have one. My issue is with the farm team system. You have an owner with 1 or 2 legitimate franchises and then 2-4 others that feed those two with players. How would you like to be on one of those farm teams? How would you like to be one of the teams that has to play against that stacked team? It really affects the integrity of the game. Any time the integrity of the game is compromised it simply becomes another boring waste of time that noone will buy. I don't want to see that happen to this game.

Actually, it has changed. Anyone attempting to purchase a team now can't own another.

YEs but if we are talking real life would an owner own more than 1 team in real life? I thought this was supposed to be pretty much a replica of the real thing? Doesn't matter if you were here from the beginning 1 team should be more than enough for someone to run. Also don't sell a team to 13 year old and you don't have to worry about them making Daniel Snyder(Redskins) overspending mistakes

Let them have their teams. No "new" owners can have more than one so your only complaining about people who jumped on before the beta.

Just be patient, that's what the rest of us had to do. Inactive owners and owners who overpaid their players will lose their teams. We only have them 2 seasons (roughly 3 months) unless we renew.

Well I guess this answers my question as to why I just spent the money to buy the flex points but can't find a team to purchase...I AM new to the game so do they only release new teams after the season and if so how many do they release? I have about 50-60 friends playing now and we were wanting to get our own team...so are the chances decent or slim to none?

As a team owner, I think there should be a market maker for those wanting to sell and those wanting to buy.

Owner can sell for highest FP price they can get.

By the way, I've learned the hard way it's probably better to buy a new team in a lower division than buy a team in a higher division. Team was gutted and stripped before I bought it so now I have to ride it out and then the team will be demoted to AAA league next year.

I should have been patient and waited for the next round of teams.

I am of the thinking that they should be enticed to sell the teams back. Possibly a refund of the original flex points plus some more. I know that would be a step back for GBL, especially if they are sold for the 1000FP price, however, the inactive owners and farm teams are going to cause players to lose interest and abandon the game which would cause much more financial damage that a show of good faith that would include making everyone happy by buying back some of these teams at an inflated price.

What the fruit said...

I thought that was pretty funny up until I realized you were talking about me.

Okay, all the special kids out of the pool!!

Well, I guess we need to quit our jobs and sit around and wait for a team. If people could only own 1 team or even a couple- ( SOme folks own like 5 teams ) it would at least help others get a chance at them.

Just because you have a ton of free time to sit and hit refresh to get a team does not show that you are more dedicated...it just shows you have lots of extra free time....

Maybe we shouldn't force to sell. I would hate to be the poor bastard who ended up buying the huskies because I was desperate for a team.

[edit]
This must look silly, but there was a gutted team here, it had been sold to the aforementioned "poor bastard"

Do you work the night shift (5 PM - 1:00 AM)? If not, then you have nothing to complain about. I work throughout the day (8-5). After I went home, I spent about 30 minutes on the boards before I had a team. So your thoughts of grandeur of needing to sit in a dark basement for a week straight hitting refresh in hopes to get a team are severely skewed, so stop using it as an excuse for you to either:
A) Did not even try to get a team. It's easier to complain about it after the fact than actually put forth even a little bit of effort.
B) Are new, don't know the game, and probably shouldn't own a team.

There is a difference in forcing people to sell their team because they own more than one versus having your team taken away for collusion actions. I support removing the teams (the higher team, not the farm team) if someone can show they indeed are farm teams.
