50% power running style is -50, and 50% elusive running style is +50. if you run on combo, thats 0. thats 0% power running and 0% elusive running.

I don't know about that ...or maybe I am misunderstanding what you are trying to say.

Bruiser - +3% to breaking tackles when using at least 50% power style

Key word is " at least 50%", which infers you can go higher than 50%. So if the slider bar is set right in the middle , that would be 50% power/50% elusive. A little to one side would equal 60%power/40% elusive ...or whatever.

1...........................................2.....................................3

Where 1 would equal 100% elusive/0% power
Where 3 would equal 100% power/0% elusive
Where 2 would equal 50% power/50% elusive

no, thats incorrect.

its not a 100% scale. its a 200% scale, basically.

Power...................Combo.......................Elusive
-100............$.............0................#............100

$ = 50% Power. its equal to negative 50.
# = 50% Elusive. Its equal to positive 50.

See the difference?

if your a power back, strictly power, go workhorse, bruiser, and goal line back.

I'd say Bruiser and Tenacious. Tenacious would be useful for 95% more of the field than Goal Line Back since it doesn't require being inside the 5 yard line.
Short Yardage back is better than Goal Line Back imo as well.

I plan on using Bruiser and Tenacious for my HB.

Gotcha. Interesting way to arrange it.

Yeah - I don't think Goal Line back is useful at all - way to specific. I really like Red Zone Freak though - if I can get 5% bonus on strength, speed AND agility, then I'm a happy camper. But the base has got to be Bruiser/Slippery

Honestly, any "low speed" powerback that doesn't take Bruiser and Short Yardage has failed. The problem with low speed is your pentient for TFLs, and these add upwards of +50% to your break chance.

Alright, well what do we think are the best VA to use for a pure combo back, set at 0?

Personally I am looking at:

Quick Feet (1st choice right now)

Others;

Quick
Steady Grip
Track Star

Is the %bonus applied based on basic attribution or the attribution with eq?

I would have to say that track star and quick will be the way to go for a Elusive HB. Alippery might be good but pumping up speed and agility will help even more. 15% extra to both speed and agility is priceless.

If you manage to have 68 speed (3cap), 15% = 78 speed. With 26 points of EQ (lvl 32 eq and CE) you have 104. By lvl 40 (when you can spend 15 in a VA) You should have 110 Speed and 80ish agility. ie, you should be incredible.

Not sure how many people are going to have 30 vet points by level 40. My level 41 HB who has played since mid season 1 has 21 VP.

ETA: Then again, if he really gives 150-200 VP per day, people who aren't a high level right now will probably get far more than we got retroactively.

I have a combo back (lvl 41) he has 60 strength and 78 speed. Here is what i am thinking:

Option # 1-Quick Feet and Track Star
OR
Option #2-Bruiser and Tenacious

I will put some points toward Red Zone Freak with either option.

Please let me know your thoughts (ideas/comments)

I disagree, actually...in tough games, this particular situational is a potentially huge factor.

Also, for Goal Line back...it is unclear whther it applies strictly to the Goal Line formation, or generically to a running play inside the 5. Pretty big difference there.
