I thought second wind was intriguing as well, but how many of us can just increase our stamina by plugging stamina? I'd venture to say it is cheaper to skill point or train stamina to get the same result and use you VXP for enhancing your builds strengths.

I'm all for Quick and Track Star but Awe Inspiring seems like a great investment for those who have high fame.

I agree it is better to just spend skill points in stamina if energy is a problem.
If your speed is already at 75 natural...each track star point will give you .75...equivalent to ~5 SPs... Typically stamina is under the fist cap for most players...better off just spending 1 to 1 and build up your stamina so it is not an issue.
All of my points will go in Track Star for now...

Ended up going:
Clutch- 5
Quick- 3
Mr. First Down- 4
Slippery- 6
Figure being a Possession receiver Clutch and Mr. First Down would help.

The thing is that although increasing stamina would help, I'm really curious as to how much of a deal say, 8 points are at the very end of the game when energy is very depleted whether or not you have a lot of stamina. It could be equivalent to a lot more stamina then we think. I'm not very good at articulating my thoughts into words
.
Say Player A has 35 stamina and Player B has 50
By the start of the 4th quarter both players are probably very low on energy.
If Player A has 30 energy and B has say 40 energy, 5 points in second wind could be equivalent to maybe 20 points in stam, we don't know because Bort keeps it all hushed.
The bonus at the start of the 4th is what intrigues me. Mainly because of the advantage it could give you over a defense who although having higher stamina than you, may have less energy because you received an extra boost when it mattered.

I do not think it is that great a bonus. Bort has said the energy settings we are seeing at the conclusion of the game is where are player ended and about our lowpoint for the game. My WR usually ends around 60-70 energy. Just do not see it helping all that much to boost energy 10 points in the 4th quarter...would much rather have a 10% boost to my speed for the entire game. The value should not even really be that close.

Your WR ends with 60-70 energy? How much stam does he have? I usually end with around 35-40 with 38 stamina. And I know it probably isn't that great of a bonus, but we don't know how large of an effect it might have which is why I said it intrigues me. Confidence and Stamina are two of the most important functions of the game and we are left completely in the dark about both.

I was thinking about that too. It would be amazingly useful if the check happened on incomplete passes as well. Anyone know?

I am on a team with 5 equal leveled receivers that get equal playing time and are pretty much equally well built. I only have 38 stamina right now and still end with ~70+ energy. Maybe it makes sense if you are ending games that low but if you are I would recommend spending skill points on your stamina. I would much rather use VA to boost speed which will cost me many SPs to boost than stamina that will only cost me 1 SP to boost.

For those of you who put points into Go To Guy, why? And did the other WRs on your team spend points in it too?

I really don't like Go To Guy. It's built for "possession" receivers - guys who can handle consistently getting thrown to under pressure, but speedsters will use it for glory hogging. If you're not open or can't handle it you don't deserve to be looked at on that particular play.
Also, Second Wind is better than raising your stamina unless you do so to an intense level (which is silly obv). At the end of the third quarter you will have lost at least 30 energy, meaning the full effect will only put you back into the game at closer to full intensity. All stamina does is determine how quickly your energy depletes and regenerates, +30 energy would benefit you regardless so long as you're lacking at least that amount. And a player with both high stamina and second wind would benefit the most - up to a point.
Of course, WRs don't need much stamina. I see this more as a lineman/QB skill.
