I put 10 in super, power and text book tackler.

Honestly I don't like anything for my type of linebacker so I'm probably going to go 15 in speed and the rest in agility. Start working my AEQ to agility to cover up the gap. I have a piece of shutdown coverage eq that I'll wear and then count on speed & agility to get it done against the run...not too worried about causing fumbles.

Now I'm thinking about putting 15 points into Streaky and the rest into Redzone Freak. If you hit on both you'll be getting a +10% to all of your abilites in the redzone. That's pretty bad ass. If you get the negative side of streakey for a game, then at least you have a chance of canceling that -5% out when playing in the redzone.
I'm also just considering pouring all the points into Track Star and Football Genius. Once they are both up to 15 and if both are stats are to the 2nd soft cap (natural 60), you'll be getting a +9 point bonus to both speed and vision. Thus you should be recognizing the play and then getting to it really quickly.

I put 10 points into Football Genius on my Lvl 36 OLB so we'll see. I too am not impressed with the Vet points for LBs. I figure something that deals with vision and agility would be safe.

didn't know you even had a LB that you could put all that into already =P

I have 20 to spend as well and also having a tough time.

he's been getting 80-100 tackles past three seasons , so those tackling options looked good at first glance, but as I look at it more I am not very thrilled with what I see.
Currently looking at three options
Track Star/Quick 20% combined bonus is nothing to sneer at, better player all around
Red Zone Freak / Clutch /Streaky all sound intriging
I am still leaning to the Speed/agil bump

First off, I would suggest closing your build, lol. After that though, you've put quite the investment into D-Gen, so Natural Leader may be a good option for you. Not as your primary, but definitely as a secondary ability with around 5-7 points would be reasonable.

I opened the build for you to see,
I thought about the Natural Leader but it seems to only be a skill to make it activate and thats why I put so many in the SA to make it activate, so double activation doesn't seem that usefull
thanks tho I am still liking the Track Star

That makes sense, haha, whoops.
In any case, my suggestion for Natural Leader was more to emphasize an aspect that it looks like you are a believer in. Remember though that VA's are multiplicative, so 15 in Natural Leader will be a 45% increase on your D-Gen's ability to fire. Say at level 9 there's a 50% for D-Gen to fire; with 15 in NL, it would push that % up to 72.5%. If you've invested that many SP's into D-Gen, might as well make it more effective.

unless you miss a lot of tackles, sure tackler is not worth it. you only get a few chances a season to have it proc, and the percent chance to proc is low. so not worth it to me.
heavyweight, jackhammer, long arm are all cool to mess with, depending on whether you want to focus your LB on a particular skill. and special teamer is really something to consider if you are on KOS or KRS a lot.

Unless of course you go for power tackling and know you will miss more?

That's all well and good, but remember that all it allows you to do is have a chance at a second roll. Say you push PT to 15 points, and ST to 15 as well. That's 30 vet points to try and force more fumbles; a stat that doesn't even guarantee you the turnover. If you're hitting the HB or QB, there's a very good chance an O-lineman will recover it; we've all seen it numerous times before. Meanwhile, you just invested 15 points into Sure Tackler, which gives you about a 45% chance now to even attempt a second chance at making the tackle. Even if you clear that chance, now you have to try to pass that reduced chance to make a tackle since you're on Power tackling. Since you failed the first time, there's a reasonable chance you'll fail the second time (if you even get a chance to try a second time). And after all that, even if you force the fumble, your team may not even recover it!
Really, really not worth it.

I think ST is going to help my LB because he has been missing some tackles this season
