That's the issue with TE's in this game, they're all being built as fast as WR's.... when that happens, the CB's are going to shut them down all day long. My TE is built primarily as a blocker, and has 38 speed and 51 catching... he gets open ALL day, and doesn't drop passes. Reason being, all those fast WR's and CB's are just dropping straight back 15 yards, and the middle of the field is WIDE open. Sure, He only gets 4-7 yards per catch... but, HELLO, 4-7 is better than 0 is it not? Which is the TE's job, not going 50 yards down the field and trying to beat a CB. You don't need "speed" to get open, guys, you need vision and agility.
CB's don't cover TE's. LB's do.
Not when the TE has 80 speed and runs right past the LB and into the DB coverage area. I have yet to have a speed TE get more than 1 catch against my Defense
