Here's an example of a 3-4 cover 0. You need to make sure you don't ever blitz the LOLB and I have it set to man coverage. My FS sucks and a better one would have made the tackle early.

What about a 3-3-5 Run Stack/Zone Under?

The 3 Linemen won't get much pressure, but the 3 LB's will stop the run should it occur. Against the screen, the ROLB will be back pedaling into his zone, leaving him an open path to the WR [added is the "Run Stack" to be closer to the Line of Scrimmage]. Putting in a Cover 2 set will have the FS "cheating" to the weak side, as well.

I abhor "zone" in this game, but it may work here.

He'd have to be extremely fast to run from the other side of the field.

it just might work but it'll get torn apart by every other play from SB

zone? i hate zone - unless i'm asked to OC and i spot it, then zone is my bestest friend in the world

3-3-5, Cover 2, Zone, short, run, center shift, CB3/MLB blitz.

The ROLB that went out has 80+ speed and 50+ agility. But the trick (IMO), is the percentage that you run it as you can get burned up the middle. I have it mixed with other d-sets based on down/distance/formation situations.

3-2-6 stack the box, Cover0 short. Your SS is basically playing as your 3rd LB in case they run up the middle or to the strong side of the field.

One of the reasons this play is overpowered is how easily WRs block regardless of whether they've even trained the attribute. Basically, you need 3 or 4 defenders to ensure one guy is free to make the tackle.

What really make this play so powerful isnt the play itself, but the fact you can mix up a singleback dive or pitch to the right and torch defenses trying to stack that side of the field.

I think cover1 with the SS tight to the line mitigates that with the 3-2 plus the safety who is effectively an LB in that scheme.

It helps but a good back will still burn them. I ran that a lot this season and saw it work consistently, and it helped us become the number one rushing team in our league.

well fair enough...those runs work no matter what scheme the D is using, it seems.

HB screen to the right and.... big trouble

I think 3-3-5 cover 2, cheat run, no LB shift might slow it down.

I had pretty good results with the 3-3-5 cover 3, weak shift, balanced coverage.
