I really like these RPI ratings. We're 1-5 (Sin City), but we've played very hard teams and are better than some of the 2-4 teams.

What are you Smoking in that Pipe, Tom? You got 2 teams we beat ahead of us.

Its the RPI that smokes the dope, not me. Its a crazy ranking. The yardage based ranking should be up tonight (I got busy last night). That is more accurate. You guys have played weaker opponents than them.

You are never going to win. For years, I thought I'd be the next Kenneth Massey and I created my own computer poll. I spent months on it. Before I ever made it public, I ran a half-dozen seasons retroactively and it was remarkably accurate.

Yet, as soon as I made it public, people were screaming.

"What is wrong with you?! You have North Carolina State 16th when they lost to #18 Georgia Tech!"

They will never, ever, ever understand that it is merely math. Even if you explain it to them, they'll say, "Yeah, I understand, but you still..."

thanks tom. I appreciate the RPI. It shows me that although we've beaten a few teams lately that our schedule was pretty cake and we need to keep focus.

Were you going to update this? I'm interested to see how things went after two games.

I love how from the first to second RPI Lauderdale moved from 14th to 11th even though they lost...lol

EZ hasn't had a weak schedule they just make everyone look weak
