jumping is on the list where it should be.
Speed
vision
agility
jumping

The reason why your slower guy is getting more int's is because your faster guy shuts down receivers. your slower one gets thrown at a lot and sometimes tips fall in your hands.

Fixed.

Speed
agility
vision
jumping

Fixed back.

Sure its important - after getting stamina up (especially if you start in D-Leagues, or end up on a crappy team like me and have to play 80 plays a game), softcapped speed and agility and vision. Which makes in the 4th stat to soft-cap and the 5th stat to worry about.

Which is why CB's ignore jumping

my guys plays 80 plays a game and is on a very good team... undefeated. and no. jumping is def one of the most over looked atrributes, and it def takes place over stamina. and for the most part, i think agility is really more important that speed. speed just has to be about equal with the reciver you're covering, but with a ton of agility you can jump passes and get quick jumps on the ball... which is why i think vis is also right up there. better than speed? i dunno, but id say it is just as important, and then jumping is a very, very close 4th. stamina probably doesnt even get into my top 6. and if you question me, go ahead and check my stats... those things dont lie. and dont give me all that "o look, he was passed at a ton..." look at the tackle to PD ratio... almost have twice the number of PDs as i do tackles.

This was my experience as well.

Jumping is important, but not so important that you move it ahead of your top 3 skills.

+1, but as soon as you get speed to 3 point cap, i would put jumping over speed. at that point, there arent a ton of receivers who will have that much more speed than you.

Try telling that to Tim Harper.

I tried this experiment...he is playing over his head and got 8 PD in 13 games...I'm still thinking about retiring him...what do you think?

No way keep going. get the speed and agility up now after you cap vision. you cant really truly try him out until he has the speed and agility to do some damage. he is looking real good for an unorthodox build!

Thx, Next boost will get me to cap vision...Not sure whether to hit Speed or Agility first...I'm leaning towards agility because normally I would go speed.

I largely agree. Speed is overrated for CBs. Meanwhile, agility and vision are underrated.

Most passing play outcomes rely on the CB providing good coverage, not sprinting it out. I have an experimental low-speed CB with a puny 60 speed - despite playing full-time on a good team, he his longest pass allowed (ever) is 18 yards. He covers like a champ and never gets thrown at. He's allowed three TDs in the past two seasons, one of which was on a WR screen where he tripped over a guy blocking three DBs....

CB build priorities (imo)
1. Speed
1. Agility
1.5. Vision
2. jumping
3. tackling
3. catching
4. strength?

Excluding stamina and SAs. Jumping is ignored because the big three (speed, agility, and vision) are so much more important.

I don't find speed to be over-rated; more like it's over-emphasized since Bort made changes. Now, speed is more along the lines of horsepower. There are a lot of high-horsepower vehicles. i.e... formula one racers, NASCAR, & monster trucks. All have high horsepower but, apply it differently. There's obvious differences in their bodies, purpose, gearing and suspension(G & S = agility). You really wouldn't want to remove one of those types of vehicles and put it in one of the others' racing format.
HP is HP and speed is speed. But, now it's an attribute that has more in common with 'capacity' than 'absolute value'. It's no longer a case of 'my 90 speed WR will destroy your 80 speed CB.'
Just my opinion:
Over-emphasized: Speed
Over-rated: strength, tackling. And, for others; Shut Down & Super Vision. I think some people go way overboard on those SA's.
Under-emphasized: agility, jumping(NOTE: I wrote under-emphasized and not under-rated.)
Under-rated: first step, change direction, swat ball SA's
Possibly under-rated: closing speed SA. (jury's still out on that one. Seems a bit spotty. Only way to really find out is to raise it higher. But, who would want to risk the points and not have it pan out or, waste them in Return and Blitz? And, I don't really feel like wasting the FP's on rolling up an experimental CB).
