Truth + this

$11.00(machinist) x 80(two weeks)= $880 x2(one month) $1760
after uncle sam and child support and 401k and insurance

$450 x 2= $900

And to think I went to college, and started a family only lose my son to a crackwhore and to make this shitty wage

Duncan when is that going to get in the mail?

I need it to come soon or I might have to get a real job!

The "redistribution of wealth" was just a neocon ploy to scare people into voting republican. Obama is not a communist or a marxist. On the contrary, if you happen to make $500k a year then you will have to pay a couple thousand dollars more in taxes. I know, it's a hardship to give up an extra 2-5% of your income. You might have to wait a year before you trade in your 2006 BMW M5 (the one at your vacation house, of course) for a new one.

This is the first time I have ever voted for a democrat. I was raised in the south. My parents still think that George W Bush was right about the whole Iraq thing.

I am a conservative. That means that I favor lower spending and less intrusive government. The sad fact is that the democratic party now represents those goals better than the republican party.

Ok... I'm pretty sure you don't live in Mississippi. Otherwise I would give you legal advice (I have only passed the bar exam in Mississippi). I am not familiar with your local laws but I am pretty sure that you could win custody of your kids if you can prove that your ex-wife/baby momma is a crack whore.

Also, you could make more money as a machinist in a union. Qualified machinists make pretty good money. I know my little cousin's boyfriend makes $22/hour as a machinist in Wisconsin, and he is on a work release program from prison. The job market is tough right now but you should start checking some websites for a new gig that pays better. Your skills are worth more than $11/hour.

I have no problem with bailing out the big three, but I think we should have put something in there along the lines of -"Hey, you are getting saved by the American Govt. and its people, how about bring back 50% of the plants you sent overseas so people can get a decent job to afford your cars.". Maybe I just feel that way because I've struggle to find a job since the mortgage industry tanked, but I think we support way too many companies that don't seem to care about the people in this country, just the bottom line.

Well, Obama says he is going to cut the tax breaks for companies that outsource to foreign countries. That will actually make it more profitable for them to produce their goods here in the states and pay fair wages to American workers.

A lot of what he says sounds too good to be true, but I am hopeful that he will come through on at least some of his promises.

My opinion.

There was a time for unions. That time has passed.

Unions nowadays, from what I have experienced, could give a shit about their employer or the corporation. It's about getting theirs. Unions used to be for livable wages, safe conditions and other reasonable aspects of living. Now they want to push the employer for everything and anything under the sun and the company be damned.

Flat out, this is greed.

Secondly, when a union demands that a company pays more in salary, pays more towards health insurance and other demands they wish the company to pay, the price of product will rise. Keep in mind, that companies really don't pay taxes either. They pass these on to the consumer. I know I do it.

I'm a huge property rights proponent. This is where my beliefs lie and everything else centers around it. In a nutshell, my property rights, when dealing with my property, trump your civil rights at all times. No ifs, ands, buts about it. I believe that if I hire you, you are not an employee, but a contractor. You are agreeing to a wage in return for your labor. In turn, by me providing you a wage you have no right to any aspect of my property, supplies or the end product other than what we have agreed upon. I believe that I can terminate your services at any point in time and the same holds true for you. You can terminate your employment at any point in time. Under this concept if you attempt to coerce me to provide you with higher wages or other benefits I will have no recourse but to terminate your services. Everybody is replaceable.

I believe that I am not required to provide your family with health insurance. But I will research medical costs within your area and ensure that your pay will be sufficient to attain medical insurance at your cost. Your medical care is your responsibility. If you are injured on the job I will have no issues about paying for your treatment. Every cent. On the other hand, you will not receive a paycheck from me because you are not working. The salary I pay you shall be enough to purchase something like AFLAC.

I am not your mother. I am not your father. I am not your guardian. I am not your babysitter or nanny. You are a responsible adult quite capable of making your own decisions as it pertains to your welfare and financial security. You may feel you possess a right to work, and you do, but you do not possess a right to work at my company. When at the time your contract ends, if you choose to continue working for me than we shall negotiate a new contract. In the meantime, I am free to search and seek out any contractors who are available.

It's called a free market.

And capitalism.

Now, if these Big 3 automakers were smart here's what they should do.

Give us the loan or here's what's going to happen.

We are going to close every plant in North America. Move overseas and continue production.

This in turn will lead to a new brand Edsel rising in America.
