looks like this one will be dragging into the playoffs...hopefully we can get things finished up with a final on day 39 or 40.

or maybe we'll get another shot at Lincoln in the finals? We've figured out what was wrong w/ our passing attack since that game.

Regardless, there's gonna be four really good squads in the Final Four.

Just noticed a Lincoln/Cincinnati championship game would be an All-GD final. I'm sure that means nothing to 99.5% of the people in this game, but I'm sure ddingo, kingfelix, joannes and vhoward get it.

West Scranton is arguably the best team in GLB. I don't care who they play, I expect WSI to win. They absolutely handed us our asses in the Championship game of this tournament last season (which was actually played this season) and I tend to think we're fairly good.

And yeah -- the all-GD final would be rather amusing.

Thanks, Lincoln is having an incredible season.

We will have our hands full with the shockers, they are a very good team.

It can be fun, but it can also be pretty involved too. Instead of putting you in the role of player/agent like GLB, you're put in the role of a college coach. Recruiting, gameplanning & AI management are all big parts of the game. I know in the case of Cincinnati's GMs, we were able to pick up on a lot of the AI & training of core stats because we were so used to doing it for our GD teams (95% of our team came from former/current GD coaches).

They've got a promo code up for a free season to new users.

www.whatifsports.com/gd/

They've also got baseball & basketball sims too (I've heard they're better than the football sim), but I've never tried them.

Man, that takes me back. I used to play the baseball sims there for years, then tried GD...same type of issues at the start tbh -- the users who jumped in first and got "top college name" teams in the highest level just built up massive war chests and it was ridiculous to try and move up and compete..but it was interesting.

Yeah, GD definitely favored the guys who had been at one school for a long time. There would be guys who would spend an entire career at DIII and have recruiting banks near $1M (normal yearly recruiting budget is around $10,000). It was almost impossible for a noob to come in and do good since there's so much to take in and so little money to work with. In comparison, D2 recruiting was MUCH easier.

West Scranton pasted us tonight. Very good & I'd be shocked if they didn't win it all.
