I trained Strength for awhile, it doesn't help much though, WRs with less than 10 Strength and Blocking can still block me.

I'm sure I need more Jumping and Confidence.

Super Vision has been pretty disappointing. Yeah I don't get faked out very much, but I thought it would help with INTs.

Once I get Vision to 60 I think I might pump up Change Direction.

At level 40, why on earth do you think the WRs who are blocking you have less than 10 strength?

I would softcap Jumping, then get Shutdown Coverage to 4. Continue to train Strength and Tackling, and you should be fine.

The level 39 WRs build was open, and he had 7 strength and 10 blocking. As mentioned in that thread it's probably because of confidence (and overpowered blocking in general) that he was able to block me so long.

I think it is an OK build, but I'm not happy with my performance. No time right now to find more exact plays where I screw up.

In previous seasons my team was decent, 11-5 in season 4 and 5, and I had a total of 1 INT for those two seasons. Of course I wasn't level 40 back then.

tackling and shutdown coverage. For example my CB is a level 38. My speed is a little less than yours but my tackling is much higher at over 40. My jumping and catching are both over 30 and I have 6 Shutdown coverage. My stats for my career are 397 tackles 6 sacks, 30 INTs w/ 5 returned for TDs, 7 FFs and 172 PDs. I would have probably spread those 9 for superior vision to Shutdown Corner, Change of direction and first step. All of those levels are over 4.

Your build is fine...Add softcap jumping. Second cap vision and you will be fine. CB isn't measured by stats. Your stats look fine to me.

I think vision to 2nd cap, catching to about 35-40 and you'll see your ints increase

why do people put points in tackling? My CB has an entire 14 missed tackles over the course of his career and ive never spent a point in tackling and have it less than 25. Complete waste imho. Same with strength.

Strength helps break blocks and tackling helps wrapping up those pesky power backs.

There is a CB on the team I DC for that has about a dozen more points of tackling than vision...his tackling is as high as his agility...I look at him and think "what am I supposed to do with you?"

0 Shutdown Coverage? Insanity!! Get that up to 4 base, at least. ASAP. That's the main difference between your build and most 'succesful' ones, I guarantee it.

If you reeeeaaally crave those INTs, try Medium/Aggressive tactics. You'll give up a LOT more yards, which will hurt your team, but if the internet dotball picks make you happy.. *shrug*. Really not advised though.

Okay, you've been blocked by what, fifty WRs so far this year? And you pick one and use it to generalize about all the others?

Because missing a tackle or getting knocked down by a WR on the outside can very easily lead to a long TD.

My CB last year allowed only one TD in coverage but he got knocked down on two plays which allowed the WR to take off like a rocket for ~40 yd TDs.

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with your build. Are you unhappy because you're not getting INTs? The goal of a CB is to not allow completions, it is not to rack up INTs. About the only thing I would suggest would be to put a few points into Shutdown Coverage. Your speed and agility are high enough where it would definately help.

Yeah you should prevent completions, but I don't agree with not racking up interceptions. Sometimes 2-3 ints a game and maybe one pick 6 can change the outcome even if it causes you to give up a big play here and there.

I personally don't think Shutdown Coverage is all it's cracked up to be.

I would make sure i had Speed, Vision, Agility and Jumping all second capped before i spent anything in Shutdown Coverage.

It's way too expensive for something that doesn't help you all the time. Not saying it's bad, but jumping would be my first concern for your guy. Other than that, your build looks pretty good.
