Raising my speed from 48 to 57 hasn't seemed to do much for me just to further reinforce that point. Wish I had put the points into vision.

High strength and normal agility will not work against equal competition. I tried it also. High agility and normal strength works much better.

+1

However...
In a game where folks continually complain about the rush being too strong, folks continue to want to build pass rushers because they have fancy stat lines. Don't think for a moment that there is no correlation here.

High Strength and high Agility gives you the best player for the position...high Agility and high speed (with decent strength) will give you the most stats...especially against teams that you overmatch already.

Tautology knows builds.
I don't believe that DT's are supposed to be built for the sexy stat lines. The role of the DT is to absorb blockers and let their LB's make plays. You can make a DT that gets sacks and hurries, but be prepared to have a good o-line smoke you in the running game. What is more important to you, winning games, or flashy stats?

Here's my question for you maz. Do you place much importance on SAs or are you more of a pure stat guy?

Regardless of any expertise that I am purported to have, I will defer to the dominance of Vanilla Ice. He's a mack, no doubt about it.

by stat do you mean attribute? or sacks/tackles?

I feel SAs for DT kinda suck. But that's just my opinion. My DT hs 9 in Shed Block and 6 in Strong Base and I really don't think it does crap.

i assume theyre both useful at the right time... my reasoning being for example shed block is useful if you have agility but how much agility? i assumed bort gave us a hint when he decided how much it costs... if adding agility costs 1 point then theres no reason to add shed block beyond it costing 1 point etc so when i spent 3 on agi i went 3 on shed etc etc i kinda do that with most my players

Interesting theory. So maybe the people bringing SAs up to 10 when their attributes are under 50 aren't getting as much out of it as they think?

I think that's been the general consensus for quite some time although there seem to be a handful of skills that don't quite fit, like the old forcefield headfake or pump fake.

You need strength plain a simple. Dont forget you have to stop the run here and there.

I have decent speed and very high agility.

I try to have speed 10 points behind strength. For example if I have 65 strength I have 55 speed with agility being much much higher.

NT's are a different story.
