I've mentioned this before in the D-Line Private Forum, I've always wondered what a DE would be like if he just got his Speed up to the 4-for-1 cap (the one around 68) and then filled out his SA tree. It would look like this around level 32:

Speed(w/EQ): 104
Agility: 28
SA Tree: 11-11-11-11-1 (w/CE)

The First Step, Change Direction, and Shed Block would completely compensate for the lack of Agility.

yeah but 68+ 26 is 94.

You'd get Speed to 69 by level 11. Add up all of the level up bonuses from 12 to 32, and it's about +9. So I'm right.

Alright I gotcha. I'm doing it the other way, My destination by 24 is 78 natural agility and natural 60 speed. putting 4 from equipment in agility and the rest in speed.

I know for a fact that what you're doing works, it's been proven on multiple occasions, I just want to know if a Strength-less AND Agility-less build would be effective once the SA tree gets filled out.

I don't really care who makes one like that, just as long as I can keep track of their progress/build.

there, I was trying to get a roll with 20 speed and all 8's. I have been rolling for an hour. Do you think the roll is good enough to start, or should I try to find the perfect roll with 20 in speed at least and all 8's?

I can sign him to my Canada BBB team and keep him off the depth chart so you can train (Intense "Hill Sprints") speed up to 24 before level 3. Then as soon as he hits level 3 BAM! +25 points and SPD is softcapped. Then just keep pumping points into it until it reaches the 68 cap. Then start filling out the PR SA tree.

Sound like a plan to you?

Offer sent.

Now to get back on subject, I have to ask, why is your equipment in Agility and not Speed? What are his natural AGI/SPD?

I've found agility to be more effective for my DE as an overall player then speed. I went the high speed route previously and didn't see the consistent production I wanted so I switched over to agility and have never looked back.

Natural speed is on his build, no equipment in it. Natural agility is 64 or so.

what's the big deal with first step? I know a lot of people say it's good.

Asked and answered.

So a lot of people say it's good. So that's why you did it? You have no personal opinions about it? Alrighty then. BY the way my build looks almost identical to yours 9 level s lower with only 6 less agility. and 4 less first step. and I don't plan on taking first step up any more.

Didn't say I had no personal opinion, just said you answered your own question.

I have a lot of points in FS because it is good and the higher I've gotten it I've seen tangible results.

Unless the SA gets activated, which won't happen even nearly every play, the DE is going to be completely useless against the run and pass. Even if the SA does activate your agility probably won't be enough to get around the OT.
