Like I said in the other thread, Boston, Honolulu or Monmouth would be the best to represent USA Pro.

After that I'd think it'd be a tie between the Monkeys and the Pushovers.
If there was going to be a fuss about the representative not being in USA Pro last season I think Boston, Las Vegas, and then Philly would be my 1, 2, and 3 choice respectively. I give Boston the edge for being season 4 champs.
If the decision includes all current USP teams then Monmouth or HHW probably would be the strongest rep right now. HHWs just won that battle so it is tough not giving them the first stab at it, although I'd venture to guess Monmouth would take it more seriously.

It hasn't been discussed at all, but there's a big difference between last season's massive tourney where you have to spend every off day for a season game planning for an additional team and this tourney where their are only 3 rounds and every team is legit.

Not at all, at least not from the other leagues. This tournament is supposed to be fun and a reward for being a good team. The main purpose is to generate some interest and promote cross-league rivalries.
The honor goes to the defending champ or runner up, but if they are disqualified or decline, my hope is the league will send a strong team who will take the tournament seriously.
It's totally up to the USA teams whether to focus on a team from last season or a newly promoted but strong team.

If Boston wants to do they should get the nod. If not, should' go to someone who is committed to putting in the effort. I just get sick of the "USA Pro teams won't play anybody" BS.

I think Honolulu deserves first shot, but I'd really enjoy Monmouth participating more. At least it wouldn't be 79 plays of "See Wang run".

I'd give Philly the edge over us if we're going purely on last season's record. They beat us twice in scrimmages and we weren't "not trying" if that makes any sense.

Scrimmages shouldn't play roles at all in the decision. Monmouth almost beat philly by 80 in a scrim which doesn't say much.

Haha - I didn't think too much beyond Boston honestly - just knew you and Philly were in the semi-finals. My bitterness of losing our last 2 games to Philly might have subconsciously made me slot them in the 3 hole.
Since Havoc doesn't really think there is a need for a season 5 USP team I have to agree with xcoach and think Boston should get the first choice being the most recent relevant champion and then whomever will put the most effort into it between Monmouth, HHW, Philly, LV, and down the line of the current strongest teams.

There was a little discussion on the BSB forums and as a whole we felt it should be Jed and the Philadephia Pushovers. Being that Philadelphia is always in the playoff hunt (sorta) and are 3-1 this season, they're a prime candidate. So if it has any effect at all, BSB feels that Philadelphia should get a shot.

I think Boston has already declined. At the very least they've declined to participate in tourneys like this in the past. Next would be BSB, and they've declined. Basically, after that, I would say it goes to a big pool of strong teams, and I would pick whichever one of them wants it the most/is serious about it. If there's competition for it, my first pick would be Philly simply because they've played in USA Pro for a long time and have been impressive every season. After that it would be HHW and the Monkeys, with a slight edge to HHW.

HHW would like to participate in a tourney like this, however, just not during the regular season. If the tourney is held at the end of the season, we are definitely in.
For a tournament like this, game planning is crucial. I think MEM is a better representation for the USA PRO than us. Even though we just beat them, the two teams are really about equal. But the MEM is more balanced than us, and thus tougher for opposing teams to game plan for. Plus I think the Monkeys will be able to put up better defensive game plan than us right now with their collective pool of agents (our resources in the scouting department is really limited).
I have no doubt that MEM will represent USA PRO well. There is certainly no team better at telling people how great USA PRO is to the rest of GLB community if an USA PRO team came out on top in the tourney.
There are some great team in the East as well, maybe Havoc can expand the tourney a bit and have 2 representatives from each PRO league, that would be 1 from each conference.
